Re: Good friday loss derailed the saints both on and off the field
Probably among the worst games that i have seen by the saints. I was down the coast on the easter break but decided to drive back to town to watch the game with the kids. It was a terrible game of football, not st.kildas fault as nth were just as terrible but we missed an embarrassing amount of goal...

Re: Mitch Wallis
Good player but is the one type of midfielder we don't need. We need outside runners not ball winners. We are actually quite good at getting the ball it is what we do with it when we get that is the problem. He would be fighting with Dunstan, Steele, Ross etc... for a place. atley from north is a f...

Would you be upset if we took over from the Suns next year? If it meant losing out debt, should we do it? definitely without question i have worked out of shanghai and without doubt shanghai is an amazing city, easily up there with new york and london (have worked out of those cities as well). we s...

Re: It breaks my heart
OK, I’ll lay it on the line right from the start. I’ve been St.Kilda my life and as somebody who is within the four walls ( so to speak) I can talk with knowledge, experience and inner sanctum know all. But this spiel is passion. Don’t ever any of you suggest that this team and club is not playing ...

Re: Richo has lost the players
What we need if we’re going to emulate Hawthorn and Geelong is recruiting standards. If players don’t tick the boxes, you don’t recruit them. We need quality control in recruiting - set some criteria/standards, that we religiously adhere to. When you hear us say : “ I can’t believe this player slid...

Re: Who can we target in trade period to add to our list.
free agents, we simply have to make a play for gaff, atley,Dahlhaus, mitch wallis and sloan as fa's. Maybe even menzel and duryea. Not sure how many if any we can get or what the rules are as to the amount of fa's you can trade in. Have to make a play for de geoy or any gun midfielder who is out of ...

Re: Can anyone remember a more bleak outlook than now ?
Yes, Jiggster, but RL was hot coaching property at the time. Coming off four consecutive finals series, two GFs (so close) and a replay. Great winning percentage and a master tactician with a proven track record of extracting performance from average players. Opposition teams feared us. As for the ...

Re: Can anyone remember a more bleak outlook than now ?
2012 & 2013 were pretty bad, just going nowhere and not starting the rebuild that should've started then. 1999 & 2000 were really bleak and I won't even go into 1979 - 1986, now that was the depths. yeah 1999 -> 2002 was bad but everyone brings up the dark ages of 1979 to 1986 which would h...

I will love st.kilda forever but i feel incredibly dissapointed this year bordering on annoyed are the players stagnating? if they are not then we simply don't have the cattle, we are screwed. i thought we had young players ready to announce themselves and was looking forward to proving the doubters...

Re: What’s an acceptable losing margin to GWS?
Can’t believe I’m posting this. Way back in 2014 all I wanted to see was us winning one quarter per match. I think we’ve managed to regress back down to that level. I’m dreaming of us cracking the magical 10 goal mark - imagine that - a score of 10.20 ? (Assuming our standard goal to behind ratio) ...

Re: "Consistent Saints Footy" - J. Geary
I still don't get how we didn't seem to give a stuff after the Essendon game last year. The coach just brushed that off meekly. I am late to this but that game last year was the biggest let down i can remember (well until last friday). In the lead up to that game we were sitting 7th (equal points w...

Re: Welcome Doulton Langlands
Some Langlands stuff i found: Murray Bushrangers vs. Gippsland Power Doulton Langlands – Langlands doesn’t often stand out in any particular areas, but this was one of his better games as he made his mark with some great run and carry. He’s a regular across half-back for Murray and he played that qu...

Re: Favourite Roo memory
I have too many but one that stands out is our prelim loss to Hawthorn in 2008 and Robert Harvey's last game. Anyways, we were getting smashed, its the 3rd quarter down by like 70+ points. Roo was busting his gut the entire game, watched him super closely and finally understood how much that guy run...
