Didn't watch the game (not shown in Perth) but listened on the web.The stats indicated an average performance by Pattisson. Would add that a few 'ordinary' players from other clubs have turned into serviceable or even gun players by the current coaching staff. Wouldn't right him off after one game. ...

Um yes sorry, at 42 he is 21 years past his last eligible nomination date. I'll shut up now.

Oh yeah, our injury list has a few decent players on it at the moment. Half a dozen of them will be pushing for a spot come finals if fit and in form.

BArlow vs yarran

I know it's not Saints talk but Yarran Rising star this week? lol
Barlow chopped up with a bag of clearances, inside 50s, goal assists, 32 possies and 2 goals to boot. Makes Yarran's 3 goal 11 possy effort against a shitehouse Tigers outfit look ordinary in my opinion.

Lovett payout

Sorry this may be in another thread but this forum tends to digress into individuals bickering and threads being hijacked from original means. I just wanted to say that there is a chance that Lovett could win his case against the Saints even if he gets convicted of his charge. My personal view is th...

A good footy manager is one who does whats best for his clients. Is Paul Connors good, I have no idea but just because a couple of his players havent signed as yet doesnt mean he isnt. Are players leaving him in droves. I dont think so. Are 95% of his players signed for next year. I would think so....

At least, if we do hit the bottom of the ladder circa 2013....the Gold Coast and West Sydney draft charities will be over and we will get full value for our high draft picks in rebuilding. Interesting observation although we will have little to trade unless our recruiting is better than other clubs.

interesting trade, we have gone from a very slow midfield to perhaps a quick slick midfield.... gram, lovett, peake I like the idea of moving BJ to half forward. Exactly..with Lovett and Goddard rotating through the mid and HF we have a more balanced forward 50 with only 2 of McQ, Milne and Schneid...

Really happy but would have rather seen us go for a 4th round pick on him. And I'd have bargained hard for a 2nd round deal with Lovett. Still, Peake and Lovett will give us immense dash off the backline next year. Frees up Goddard to go forward. Pace to burn :) No way Lovett will play off the half...

Hi all, What is the programme for WA SAints fans not heading over east? I got an email last week from Kim mentioning that the Italian Club was booked but have heard nothing since. After sitting with Crows fans in 97 I am definately going to spend the day with SAinters this year and watch us win our ...

Parallels with Port 2004 and CArlton 1995

I see some strong similarities to these two premiership teams of recent past to the St. KIlda team of today. Carlton only lost 2 games all year (to the lowly Swans and Saints from memory) had two close finals and then smashed Geelong (who had monstered their opponents in their 2 finals that year). O...

That was a huge mark that he took when Roo switched play. If he had dropped that we were in deep shite. In the end his kick missed a target but it gave us time to get players back and stop the potential goal. Huge play

um..everyone lauds Lyon for being a great coach (and rightly so) but then bags his selection of players such as Raph.
To me this shows a lack of an understanding about why we are winning. Team success is more3 important...raph is obviously doing stuff off the ball that the coaching staff rate highly.
