SEN via 'Rumour Ron' on Dwayne's World (Duane Russell) - Although Phillipou is under contract he is going back to Adelaide this year. He said that Saints want top pick for him.
Hope I haven't upset too many people dropping stuff on here that was found floating around in the gutter.

Re: Trade King
That late hit, resulting in a Port free at crucial moment, was the last straw. Dumb, selfish player. He probably did that as he was getting beaten and niggled at every opportunity behind play to damage his confidence as it's obvious he is apprehensive and fragile, but no excuses, as the club should...

Re: Channel 7 commentators
Most commentators are just trying to portray that they have super intelligence/knowledge which must be mindset formed during their superhero status from their playing days and the ongoing pats on each others back. I usually just ignore the ignorance that emerges from the Kayo commentators or try out...

I would really like to keep him but the news this week that RoMa is staying is so much more important IMHO.

Re: Team hoping to switch off the Power...
The thing I like about Byrnes is he has a dip I could go out there at 40 and guarantee you an effort that would shame many of the youngsters at AFL level. 100% 100% of the time going full ball. Of course I’d be 50-60m behind every contest, if the ball somehow fell into my lap I’d be lucky to kick i...

I think we'll win but wouldn't bet a cent either way - however have tipped the Saints in a comp and live in hope.

Re: Anyone have any intel?
He is contracted Nearly half of the traded players are contracted - it's becoming a non issue. Didn't Ratten have an extended contract with the club? I meant all AFL teams - my fault for not making that clear. However, the Ratten contract made no difference to his sacking which also supports my poi...

Re: Predictions this Round
I just hope our players will do what they need to do - if they really need a break for whatever reason, have a good break. The others really need to take a breath and use some of the extra time to think about how they can improve their own game and spend some time working on it.

Re: Would a merger or relocation be such a bad thing
My brother-in-law is an ex-South Melbourne supporter and now passionate Sydney Swans supporter as are his kids (adults now but you know what I mean) and he even converted my sister. Try telling him or the group he goes to the football with that his team no longer exist. The Swans was a relocation s...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.
The AFL need to run a spread sheet on each and EVERY FREE paid or free NOT PAID that looked 50/50 and was called play on. Same with each and every 50m penalty paid and also the contentious non-50m penalties that are let go. If they don't do that, then Shut the Fick up!! All or nothing and apologise...

Aren't the Salmon farms stuffing the waterways, weather problematic, economy fully subsidised by WA, worst state governments in a country full of crap governments and fully owned by betting firms and AFL. Hospital system worse than even Victoria. Good unis and Antarctic research, even if boat can't...

Re: Predictions, Fitzroy vs Saints
I predict that if the Saints lose, the majority of so-called supporters on this page will call for RL sacking, but if they win the same people will start talking about finals. - Unless the shock jocks find something specific to spin, then most will echo what they say. At least people on this page wo...

Howard, Membrey and Webster no big loss, Cordy and Sharman are equal or better replacements. NWM is a huge loss, hopefully Arie is given some licence to use his big leg to set up some attacking plays. Jones sub IMO We’ll see tonight, I agree Membrey and Howard are no loss but who’s going to lock do...

Mitch Thorp senior coach for Launceston FC was on Tassy SEN this morning and talking up young Arie. I live over 4000 klms away from Tassy but due to the necessity to dodge Tim Gossage on SEN WA and not having the option of choosing the Melbourne broadcast in that time slot I was lucky enough to pick...

Re: If the shoe had been on the other foot
These controversial frees near the end of a game are a farce as every wrong decision in every minute of every game have the same effect on the eventual outcome.

Sheesh
When one of the poorest teams does a rebuild they must win as many games on the way as they can in the mean time, so putting the coach down for winning ugly to get a win is pretty ordinary. Losing games just to keep the armchair experts happy doesn't carry any weight to me..

Re: Match Thread Saints v Suns
I wonder why so many great football minds on this page can't imagine that when the team is undergoing a flag winning rebuild when you are one of the poorest teams in the competition you must win as many games on the way you can for obvious reasons (supporters and sponsors), so putting the coach down...
