Re: Statement re Thomas
i have just read the Statement the club released. Having read it now a few times it is concerning to me that the club has openly admitted that they considered recruiting this person, in spite of what has happened and other clubs and the AFL cutting him lose.- yes not guilty in court yet doesn't mea...

Re: Battle
If and I stress if we make a Grand Final Max will be the reason we win. A big statement I know but he just needs a run at it without being injured. Have you ever thought that some of his behaviour is based solely on his frustration not to perform at the level he knows he has. Have a look at Curnow ...

Re: Who is the worst coach in the AFL
Only current Coaches qualify My number 1 is Simon Goodwin In 2018 they made a prelim and then for 2 years in a row they missed finals. In 2019 they finished 17th. In 2020 they nearly sacked him...but that's when they decided to bring in Mark (Choco) Williams They won the flag in spite of the fact t...

Re: Changes vs Richmond
It's pretty hard to single out the dumping of any player after Sunday's performance, however many of us supporters went into that match drinking our own bathwater, perhaps the players did as well - unless it was a team tanking effort.

Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Myself and apparently some others have been kidding ourselves believing we have advanced so quickly, and I wonder what RTB was thinking giving Brad Hill a tagging Role. Hopefully we can have a few better quarters now as we don't need to win, and we had our Grand Final last week.

For us to go forward we need to get rid of Lyon He’s past it Stodgy, stilted game plan Can’t develop players - has he ever? Sick of his mincing walk Not up to it Discuss. Every week, as the kids get more experience and confidence as well as having a better run with injuries, this 'non mincing' stat...

We've got to the stage that many of our flag winning players are already on our list, leaving the doom and gloom supporters looking impatient at best and a bit silly at worst. Don't worry they'll come out of the woodwork in force every time we have a hiccup or further game experience periods.

Tom Morris noted Steele was an AFL top ten performer because Champion Data said so. What a joke these pathetic shock jocks are.

Re: Steele's goal from the goal square after a Sharman mark
Bonner did a few good things on Saturday, and he may be taking a little longer than some kids but even Owens still needs improving in some areas.
I was shocked to see the knives come out, but noted in this case know-one could find an excuse to throw a knife at Wilson for a change.

To quote an old Tassy saying, stats are a "handy bit of patch" but we all know its just an element. Another old Tassy saying is "There's a few Rummon's on Saintsational".

IMHO. Surely the call 'Max King to CHB' is too early as coaches need to know the future of Josh Battle and how other tweaks in the remaining games pan out.

Would love to see Ari come back in and a great game also from Hugo Garcia today - what a little terrier he is, an amazing 14 tackles today! Ari worked reasonably hard to get free and provide run from behind and obviously it was a team instruction to get it to him so he can use his kicking as much a...

WA is alive with Media Turds - but the biggest turd in WA is Gossage IMHO - nevertheless most of the media shock jocks across Australia are absolutely horrific but I can handle BT most of the time - probably because he usually follows the play.

Skunk was amazing and he was obviously enjoying playing, first time I have seen him appear to be enjoy the game for years.
Let's hope he can stay in the same headspace in the future, and If so, it's up to the coaching staff to ensure they have much better plans for Tim and Max when Max returns.

Re: Brad Hill Contract Extension
Should have been 2 years max. He's replaceable as a 33 year old in 2 years We've seen the rapid downturn in form for Sebby and Skunk. I would prefer 1 year ongoing contracts for guys over 30. If they're good enough they usually get rewarded with a further year Don't forget that many more players ca...
