Re: Saints v Blues Match Thread in Welly
Great first quarter from Geary. Paddy, Bruce and members providing a great contest up forward. Great to see billings getting some ball, turned it over a bit but good to see him getting his hands on it.

Lance Franklin and Dermott Brereton come to mind. Half the current Hawks list and a fair bit of geelongs have come from other clubs.SAAD wrote:Still a traitor in my eyes Pluggz.

Re: Wet weather footy
Well we have had a bit of light rain in the city, but there is a heap more on its way. Tonight will be very wet. Time for all our in and under blokes to get in and under. I dunno. I reckon it might miss us looking at the radar. Radar looks promising, but have been assured that I will get wet tonigh...

Wet weather footy
There is a good chance that Friday night is going to be very wet. I'm not sure how this will influence the outcome. It used to be that people thought it favoured teams with a lower skill level as it brought the other team back to them. I don't think this is the case anymore, Hawthorn plays very good...

I've been visiting this site for eight years, plugger66 has been here for about eight years. His posting style hasn't changed in the entire time he has been here, not sure why it is suddenly killing this site. I would think the advent of Facebook and an improved presence from the club on their own s...

Re: Flog Maher bags "only 9,800 members" in attendance
Well myself and the missus are members and went to the game, but won't be counted in the tally because we have other tickets that we use instead of our memberships. Same when we play at MCG and use MCC instead of membership to attend. The 9,800 is a good indication, but not a definitive figure. A th...

Re: LED lighting/Free WiFi/TV screens/Food discussion
Just got home from my third game of footy for the weekend, and it was interesting to see the different "match day experiences". If people don't like the loud gimmicks, I suggest avoiding Carlton home games, they have a very loud "blue man" robot thing after every goal. Luckily di...

Re: Hate blaming Umpires but ........
Bergholt - how many people bet on the outcome of your work though??? So you think the umpires or friends bet on GWS so they cheated to make sure they won? That is even bigger news. That will be on the first 5 pages of the paper and head every news bulletin tonight I would think if you are right. No...

Re: Bumped
Should have been end of first round. But players values always get over-inflated when they are up for trade. Problem is there are limited brackets for players to fit into. Franklin and Goddard are obviously band 1 compo, someone like Frawley should be band 2 (IMHO). Don't have a problem with band 1 ...

In my opinion he was close BigMart regardless of which way you look at it. I think you are forgetting how good jack was last year. His year was quite comparable Dan Hannerbery, Kieran Jack, Ryan Griffen, Jared McVeigh and Sam Mitchell. I didn't see too much of Travis Boak, so can't comment on him. R...

Re: The club should issue an apology
I wouldn't blame the cheer squad, if they didn't make a banner next week, Hell, even if they didn't turn up! Just tell the players "We didn't know whether you guys would turn up, you didn't turn up last week!" Not sure that the cheer squad did turn up. Very few of our members did. I am gu...

Re: Sponsorship - St Kilda at rock bottom
Surely you are joking if you think the location of a training base has any effect on us getting a major sponsor. Except for collingwood and richmond, what other Victorian team has a training base that would attract big sponsors. We have a naming right sponsor for seaford, obviously they would prefer...

What will happen to our AFL golf comp. Losing Goddard last year, if we lose Fisher as well we are cooked. Surely that is the most important issue here.

Here's a question for the "little person". Is it true that after being "lit on fire" you asked for the lighter then proceeded to continue the fun by lighting the shirt of one of the footballers? Not all is as it seems.
