Re: Saints vs Swans in NZ
The stadium will be empty. 500 supporters max who made the journey from either Sydney or Melbourne, plus maybe 250 curious onlookers. It won't be a good look. And why Sydney? Why not Gold Coast? Surely it's better from our perspective (membership in NZ, if any) that we dish out a flogging? Few loca...

Re: Saints vs Swans in NZ
Annoys me no end. We must be hard up for cash. How about a sponsor instead? Supporters dudded big time. Why is the AFL doing this? They need to invest more money on the game in Australia, especially grassroots, instead of this piece of nonsense. Explain how the supporters are dudded? The Club has c...

Re: Should we pursue the "good" Tom Lynch?
I think you'd be paying overs giving up our first round draft pick and a quality player. I'd consider Gram + a second round pick and probably accept Gram + a 3rd round draft pick. Gilbert isn't going anywhere. Id consider that they would swear heavily at you. Yeah I don't think it would get the dea...

Re: Cloke
Of course he would but so would Ablett, Cochin and Judd. But I doubt we could get all 4. maybe 2 of them. I usually find your posts somewhat amusing but I think you're being a little extreme in your piss take here. None of us know what we have left in the salary cap. Rumours are circulating that we...

Forget for a second that we probably won't be able to get him.
IF we could, do you believe it would elevate our team back into contention? Personally as much as I dislike the guy I think he could.

Re: A possible 2013 recruit
Strijk does sound like the type of player we could use, though he sounds quite similar to Cockie at Sandringham. But it certainly would be worth a look if he has the skills and has now built up the endurance and work-rate for the midfield. We absolutely do need more players in the 24-26 age bracket...

Re: A possible 2013 recruit
So we are picking kids one game now. I saw a guy play on Saturday in D grade Ammos that stared. Great kid and good decision maker. 25 year olds in a rebuilding phase doesnt really make to much sense to me. Age Number of Players 18 1 19 8 20 6 21 3 22 4 23 1 24 3 25 0 26 6 27 1 28 6 29 3 30 1 31 1 3...

I dont think that is correct. Would love to see the article. http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/st-kilda-tie-under-siege-forward-justin-koschitzke-to-new-two-year-deal/story-e6frf3e3-1225923175064 Koschitzke was handsomely rewarded with his previous three-year deal and it is understood...

Even if it is perhaps he doesn't want to depress himself with the thought he could be out there making a difference if not for his injury.

PLUGGER if it was up to you we would still have Leowe, Harvey, Thompson and Bourke running around. Its called progressing and introducing new players to take us forward - not blind loyalty! The only player I have potted this year is McEvoy and I stand by my previous on him - he will never be a domi...

Re: Boring Wins v Entertaining Losses
But you dont get the point of the thread. So many posters here want to demonise Ross Lyon because he was instrumental in us NOT winning a flag because of his gameplan. They then go on to laud Watters entertaining gameplan. Personally I prefer Watters gameplan over Lyon's BUT I preferred the win los...

An interesting thread a few years ago by the OP of this one. I'm seeing a trend. A little resistant to change there Joffa? http://www.saintsational.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34194 In JB's defence, we were not winning back then and not even close to starting our run. We/ve gone too far the other w...
