I'm not sure what all the fuss is about - he'll be a very useful player, terrific record and we really need him.

We are talking about Scorpions seconds, aren't we?

Develop your own, Ross, develop your own.

Well, I bounced to the last page to get a flavour of this thread, but that really didn't help, thanks you to two or three meatheads. Anyway, I've probably missed some great threads. It's a shame that a guy with such an outstanding record and capacity to demonstrate to our new kids how to go about se...

Ah ha ha. Love the black and white with most people. And for those that have labelled Ray as quick, ha, watch some footy or don't bother posting and wasting people's time. I'd suggest he's probably a mover more like a Dal Santo in terms of lack of genuine pace but some capacity to shuffle. He has ob...

Ah ha ha ... only able to start ... breathing ... ahhh ... again. Love the gags guys. Unfortunately, I can't see any reason why big Hawk won't still become a star let alone just ok. A little like a new born calf, he's just getting used to himself - he's still a fairly scary proposition and that's ju...

RL has never been a great one for communication - doesn't faze me that much - I'm sure he was more glowing to the player group. And Lenny is an absolute star - just feel guttered for blokes like him and Max ... wonder how poor Bally feels after missing out.

None of the second group. And no way on Lovett. Will be a good laugh when Freo get him. I hope the Bombers keep him because those idiots think he is a star. O'Keefe would be sensational, but hard to get!!

Agreed and condolences - I feel your pain man: three Prelims in five years is way too close for not much return. I agree on the kids - Kerr will cost us, what? Our first pick and one of our top ten players (whether a straight swap or otherwise). Not sure that that is particularly wise, but can under...

Have said it since the beginning but he is too big to play anywhere but ruck. Appreciate that he won't be the best at the centre, but he needs to get some consistent and longer period in the ruck. I knew that he would finish up with an Ottens reputation. Surprise, surprise about Ottens and his move ...

Obviously the dual in and under/fleet of foot factor for both Kerr and Cousins would be a good fit for St Kilda. But what you would need to give for Kerr would mortgage us for a while. Obviously he is a ripper, but I wouldn't put him in Judd or Cousins (appreciate the age factor) league - the main r...

Hey, it's nice to be in it and we have as much chance as anyone apart from the obvious. I have a strange feeling that I don't want to upset the bear and would like to sneak through the other path! I know that is completely wrong, but I feel more confident of just sneaking up and kicking the first 6 ...

Birss - agreed. The method of announcing the changes to the team was a disgrace. I can't recall a poor game - clearly not a top liner, but I feel a little more safe with him near the ball than two or three others to begin with. Nonetheless, McQualter and Eddy have done well through the year as well....

Not sure his record would refute what I'm saying. The point made earlier about 59 goals ... a guy that all he does is kick goals, and given most of those would be against poor opposition, is not all that flash. Nonetheless, if you're point is about our style of play, I couldn't agree more. Feel very...

Horrible position this leaves us in. Gehrig is just an absolute liabilty. He may have some good games left in him, but how many poor ones does he have left. Kosi is an undoubted ruckman. Looked good in the second half, and like Ottens, is too big to play forward consistently. Could be a very very fi...

Haha. Loving the Gehrig banter. Must admire the loyalty of some! Haven't seen him kick more than a couple of goals against good opposition for a couple of seasons now. Its not like we have his defensive pressure to hang his hat on either. Without Roo, I think Gehrig virtually one out will only make ...

Agree on Blake: a touch of nothingness about him. I'm happy when he plays and there is a specific role - i.e. match up against Goodes etc. Otherwise, you can't carry guys that effectively have no chance of being in the best each week. How many times would he have been in our best five during his car...

Touch of the Paul Chapmans? Smallish half forward/midfielder, kicks goals and is hard at it. Both were left until the 40s. Big ask, obviously, but seems to have that bit of something.

Methinks that is why Raph has struggled the past couple of years (aside from the injuries). He honestly looks terrible at times, but really smacks of someone who is down on confidence. Somehow, I'm still confident that by years end he will be a very different player than he is now. He has quite a de...

Birssy was told to expect to play ones next year as the tagger. Obviously that's a consequence of Bakes missing the first six and Attard missing a fair chunk. A couple of others that are also excluded from the VBH rage are Ricciuto and Brad Johnson. I can cop that ultimately you would have them just behind, but the Pies and Bombers egos can account for most of the hype. Hi NDSC,

Am interested in any of the available clubs, but a couple of queries would be: a) let me know where to begin etc etc; b) if there are quick turnaround timeframes then I'd have to pass given my corp'n bans access to many sport sites - nightly would be the best I could do.

In the event that Gilbert and Adcock were rated equ...
