Re: A well coached team
We are a very sloppy team and have been all year, even in all of our good wins this year we have been sloppy. Sloppy with all aspects of our game including our skills and decision making. We are definitely not a well drilled unit. Agreed. I've said it before, that our scores almost seem to come by ...

Re: A well coached team
Tonight shows the value of experience in these circumstances. I'm sure when leading by 10 points with 54 seconds on the clock, the presence of the likes of Roo, Joey and Gilbo, would've been invaluable. Their organising of structures, marshalling of the troops and leadership would've prevented the ...

Re: THOSE WHO DO NOT LEARN FROM THE PAST...
If you thought we'd be a contender this year, that's your own fault.
If your dream of 2017 glory has been shattered, that's your fault.
We will contend when our draftees of 2013 begin to peak. I'm hoping that's 2020.
But you've got to be honest about it, we're just not good enough yet.

Re: A well coached team
Fair enough there are people who like to be negative about everything but actually we were very well coached tonight. To not see that is to have the negative blinkers on. To provide that sort of effort with all our experienced players out was outstanding. Pretty much all the match ups were spot on ...

A well coached team does not go at 28% Inside 50 Efficiency.
It's just mind numbing how idiotic this strategy is.

Re: Saints and Mr. Gilbert feature in New York Times.
Fantastic. It still baffles me that there are people who fight this kind of progress. And it baffles me that people think that men sodomising each other should be a source of pride. Baffles me that when you think of two people loving each other - you choose to visualize their penises and their rect...

Re: Saints and Mr. Gilbert feature in New York Times.
If two consenting men want to indulge in a sexual relationship, then so be it. But you do realise that that is the entire point? Up until very recently, they haven't been allowed to. In some countries, you still can't. I'm no expert to be honest, but I think all the 'gay pride' thing is about is wh...

Re: Nothing to see here. Another hijacked thread.
I got banned from Facebook for 3 days recently. I put a post on a local community FB page, about certain gay behaviour. I included a news article from the Perth newspaper, about a toilet block in a public playground, that is to be bulldozed because - the toilet block is a known haunt of gays - it's...

Re: It's Your Call, Rooey!
....but somehow convincing players to play for under their market value is what won the Cats three flags. It's certainly the only way we can ever win one. God help us if we fall into the Richmond trap and start paying top dollar to players like Billings based on a few good games. Good point. Below ...

Re: It's Your Call, Rooey!
If left up to Roo he will pay himself $800k for the year. Not as simple as leaving it up to him. Players always want one extra year. Agreed. It's utter nonsense to suggest that he gets a his own set of rules. The club doesn't have to be pricks about it, and like any negotiation you need to manage i...

Re: Changes vs. Port - Roo rested
Is McCartin going to be cleared to play? If so, he's got to come straight back in. to the development team. I hate to say it but the best thing for McCartin would be if he were to retire at season's end and spare himself the brain damage of further concussions. Gee that's a good post. Genuine top s...

Re: Changes vs. Port - Roo rested
Either McCartin comes in, purely to get games into him (if he's fit) or we can this rubbish '3 talls' thing. It's a bust. Hasn't worked. We are the only team to have 3 talls (Bruce, Roo, Membrey) in the Top 20 for Marks Inside 50, and as a result we sit 5th in the Comp for Marks Inside 50. Only Adel...

Richmond didn't bring the pressure that day. How did we go against Essendon, the following week? Does this mean Richo had a great "flag winning" plan one week, then decided to ditch it the next??? You obviously didn't read my posts. I did, but I was also responding to this --- "A coa...

Re: Mr. Richardson
Of course the coach wants the team to own the middle of the ground - as if we know better!! Comeon, seriously! You can't carry out instructions given to you if you can't run and sidestep and hold on to the ball. Fair enough. But how do we explain the complete and utter ownership of the middle again...

Re: Mr. Richardson
We are 4th for Effective Disposals. We are 5th in the comp for Disposals. Yet we are 11th for Inside 50s, and 9th for Rebound 50s and 15th for Goal Assists! So we get our hands on the pill a lot, and we are generally 'effective' with it when we use it. But these 'effective disposals' are not going I...

Re: Mr. Richardson
Is it the coach's fault that we have a thin midfield with few in it that have the ability to take the game on? If you look past Ross and Steven (who is being successfully tagged out of it in important games), Steele and Stevens either don't win enough ball or tend to over- handball when the pressur...

Re: A couple of the whipping boys were ok
I thought Dunstan and Savage were amongst our better players last night. A couple of the whipping boys had a crack. Relevance? Are we now cool with average players being Ok? Is that what we want now? Sad times. Relevance is a couple of players who have been dropped recently and were under pressure ...
