Re: Our recruiting is ass backwards
Hijacking DB Cooper's post, agree. Parachuting Amon and De Goey into the side is a must. Need the class and Ratts is aware it's finals in 2023 or 2024 will be under a media blow torch.

Re: Question for Ratten lovers
There was no way that people who hired him were going to fire him after 3. The resigning was always going to be after the bye. Unfortunately the timing was screwed with the losses. The Carlton win was the trigger. Another two years at which time most of the crew would probably have moved on or worke...

What I don't get is all Season in bursts when slip into 5th gear we move, we flow, we excite, we score. Q3 Bombers, 15 min vs Geelong, R1 Pies hitting front Q4, Freo for three quarters in Perth/ a half on the Docklands and we were unstoppable vs Tigers and Hawks. Not buying the queue in the rack Fri...

Out of interest. When Doggies were smashing us Q1 in clearance who did Ratts send to Smith and Bont to at least stem the easy extraction? Did nothing I could see. Nothing. 40 down, corridor a freeway, doggies moving the footy at will and we're chipping across the ground for no benefit. The coaches b...

See how he goes in the second half and pulls up.
Based on first two quarters a lock for senior selection. Too classy.

Go hard all you want on the list, unless the players are taught to play footy that wins games you're stuffed. All the top slides are structured and move the footy forward quick.

Must have occurred more than 20 times. Doggie first to a loose ball, we commit 3 to the ball winner who then releases to a team mate running past free. That's been their stamp for ages. Slick extraction from stoppage and contested footy. Where we got smashed last night. From the opening bounce. So d...

Smashed at clearance. Could have been an ambush. If only Ratts knew the way Libba, Smith, Bont, et al structured and cleared the footy. Oh ..... Hang on. They do it every week. What does Ratts do during the week? That's right instructs a slow game plan that enables opposition to sit 17 behind the fo...

Re: The non holding the ball free
Interesting discussion on HTB. What do peoples think about this one? If we have it deep in our F50 why tackle, hold on then create a stoppage? Why not tackle to ground, release the tackle and force the defender to make a play. If the defender doesn't get rid of the footy in a second then tackle agai...

Re: Next round
Last two games Lions and Swans put the clamps on the dogs spread from contest and moved it quick to put pressure on their defence. Both games dogs couldn't move the footy.
Hoping Ratts and his team are doing some homework.
If so Max will have a day out - as will Ryder/Marshall - and we'll win by 40.

Comment 1 of 15. Our kick out strategy. Chip to the back pocket then long down the line or chip to the back pocket then chip to the boundary back flank then long down the line. All week to prepare and that was the plan. Admittedly Ratts had more pressing matters last week.

We need to get better. Very disappointing. More of the same excuses after three years in charge.
The guy's taking no responsibility but certainly the p155.

Too many low footy IQ players lead by a low footy IQ coach.
Speed of light only surpassed by the speed of Ratts getting pen to paper when the contract was presented.
Say what you want Ratts the luckiest man alive and should donate to Curnow's fav charity.
