Are Maguire and Lynch still on the bench? Haven't heard them mentioned in the last quarter.

From memory "Never Miss a Beat"- Kaiser Chiefs, "I'm Not Over"- Carolina Liar, "The Saints are Coming"- U2 and that annoying irish song from the AFL 2009 ads were played. Those are all I remember sorry.

I was at both the 2004 Brisbane game and today's game and, honestly, this game was the most atmospheric, intense, electric game of H&A football I have ever been to. Maybe I wouldn't have appreciated it as much if we lost, but it was incredble. It was almost superior to being at a final, if only ...

Half time. Armo- most definately the best. Could see him getting a game in the seniors soon, exerting a lot of effort as well as good ball use. 12 disposals. Maguire- playing solidly, his disposal is a bit average at times but getting himself into the game. 12 disposals also. Gwilt- not doing a whol...

The comentary is painful..one bloke thinks he's Rex Hunt....stupid nicknames for the players and tries to be a comedian Couldn't agree more. The worst is when they refer to the football as 'candy'. I swear they spent an entire passage of play referring to the ball as that. Painful and hard to under...

FINALLY someone posts an accurate assessment of both Raph and Gwilt's game on Saturday night! I just returned from seeing this game on GC and honestly both of their efforts were woeful. Gwilt's 2 shots at goal may save him from being dropped but he does not deserve to be in the side. He is being car...

Re: Bottom 6 is a Furphy

Bottom 6 - Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sick of hearing this farkin phrase  The bottom 6 is a furphy if the players are playing as a team Carry out the job that you are assigned and you become just as important as any other player in the team no matter what position you play At the momen...

Ross Lyon Selection Question

I just read this from the article in "The Age" today and was wondering what your interpretations are- "Max played VFL (and) we are planning to return him before the bye," said Lyon. "That is the aim, but it puts some pressure on spots. Maguire is part of the mix, but I chall...

After everyone was desperate to defend Gwilt after last weeks game I expected to come on here and see everyone talking up as BOG again like they did after Essendon. He was in the bottom 2 or 3 tonight and seemed to be standing around doing stuff all more than he was ever involved in a contest. And t...

Not to mention the countless times they cut to trainers from both teams. I must've of missed something...were they only constantly showing our trainer because he was old? I don't know why they think we'd enjoy watching the trainers run around on the ground more than seeing the players while they are...

The video really didn't mention much about training but was entertaining for the simple fact that Mark Robinson is mouthing Jon Ralph's lines at the beginning of the video.

Re: Goose: Is he finished???

I seem to remember that many wrote off Gardi who was struggling last year. He has looked ok the last two weeks though... So while Goose may be finished, writing him off just yet would seem to be a bit premature.. Was about to write the same thing. We may not even see the best of Goose this year but...

There are no obvious outs I could see from this weeks team- unless of course there were injuries suffered during the game that progress through the week. At half time I thought X would be in line to take Geary's spot, however after half time he stepped up and his work rate improved- which makes me t...

Agreed. This game was incredibly encouraging and shows how much we have improved from last year. Though the game itself derived many positives, the ones I saw to be more obvious were Dal Santo's 35 posessions and Koschitzke's 4 goals. These two have taken the criticism they received last year and ar...

I'd say, atm, Gwilt is a substitute for Maguire/Hudghton only. He makes some skill errors every so often, but as the original poster said, Goddard, Fisher...our best players make mistakes too. Hopefully over the next few weeks in the absence of our two best defenders, he steps up and contests for a...
