Yeah the problem is he is a mid playing as a second tall. I don't mind the idea of him playing down back a bit but he needs to improve his kicking or I will be getting flash backs to his speccie/turnover in the d50 against gws

I don't think best available is always the right choice. Particularly when you can't guarantee the 5th pick will always be the 5th best player. Best available maybe for the top few picks where the quality is so much higher, and you obviously don't reach from pick 8 to a player projected for pick 20+...
