Re: Saints should already be in finals

Even if we make finals now with some results going our way, it could well cost us a home final and we have to play in Sydney. If we miss finals now, I would think we would be the first team ever to miss with 13 wins. In addition if it had just been a 22 match season like is usually the case, we woul...

Re: So what’s the deal with Hunter Clark?

18 disposals in 38% game time is an excellent stat projecting to a full game means over 40.

He has a bit of the X factor which we need.

He is definitely worth keeping and I agree with Ghost Like, lets not let another slip like we let Acres go, or more to the point, pushed him out.

I love him, but if he takes that sitter against Hawthorn first time around, we would be cemented in the top 8.

Three St Kilda Academy Players on AFL 360

Interesting interviews tonight on AFL 360 leading into Saturday's important match with Owens, Windhager (spelt as Windwager on the screen) and Adrian Cole. All are products of St Kilda's Next Generation Academy, with Cole obviously a future AFL prospect who hopefully gets to the Saints at the next d...

Does the award extend to finals?

Even if it does Sincs seems to have this year tied up unless Saints play at least two finals.

Re: Votes v Blues

Sorry I didn't vote now. I was struggling to find 5 good players but thought Wilkie clearly best. Wood turned it over much too often and was on Acres for large parts of the game who I thought cut us up. I was dead against Acres being "given" to Freo as steak knives in the Hill deal but tha...

Re: Jack Sinclair No 1 Player

When they say against expectations. They refer to the average performance of someone playing the same role/position not their own benchmark. It is their way of making sure it isn't another midfielder biased rating system/award. That makes a lot more sense than what others are saying. How do you mea...

Re: Jack Sinclair No 1 Player

StPeter, I don't think Sincs should be number 1 player ahead of some of the names on that list. Yes he's had another terrific year, but surely we can appreciate the work of other players (regardless of what colour jumper they're wearing). Did you watch The Bont last night? As far as Saints fans who...

Re: Jack Sinclair No 1 Player

Champion Data’s new ratings system works by analysing how far above or below expectation players have performed per 100 minutes Maybe Champion Data need to to raise their expectations 8-) We see him each week. We expect a certain ‘level’ from him. The same with the coaches. They’ve given votes in t...

Re: Fans biggest misses

I was quite a fan of both Terry Milera and Ahmed Saad who came to us via a trade with GWS.

I was disappointed neither had long careers with us. However I guess we have been compensated somewhat in drafting NWM, Milera's Step-Son who has a long career ahead of him with the Saints.

Great to see Sharman and Caminiti selected as playing this week against Carlton despite all the following medium to tall forwards (who have played that position this year) available-

Phillipou, Cordy, Owens,( all selected) and arguably King, Membrey, Holmes( returning from injury)

RTB Says KING only needs to get through training tomorrow(Friday) to be selected.

Dan McKenzie was another I admit to getting it wrong as with many others on this forum.

It is just unfortunate that he was struck down by long-term injury when he showed us what he was capable of.

I will admit to thinking Sinclair would become nothing more than a good ordinary player. I also thought Glen Coghlan and Daniel Healy were going to be stars of the game.
