Re: RTB presser.

I loved it. Really backed the selections in the draft. Backed the trade pickups in Dow, Henry and Bonner. Hinted Wilson will play most games like Phillipou. Phillipou, Caminiti, Owens, Windhager and Naz are the nucleus that we are building around. Backed Phillipou hard at the end and said we will re...

Re: Training - Monday December 11

Yes so Ross plays VFL, and is midfield depth along with Jones. I'm OK with that. I'll believe Keeler in defense when I hear it from someone other than a first post on Bigfooty. Playing all three of Gresham, Butler and Higgins was too many small forwards, but could we see one Higgins or Butler get d...

Re: Training - Monday December 11

I agree Big Max, but who do you drop for the ruck backup? I think it has to be the CHF position (Membrey/Sharman). I also think Henry misses out on a bench spot in place of Membrey/Sharman who rotates through with the ruck relief to allow Marshall to spend time on the bench. I agree too. I don’t ag...

Re: Training - Monday December 11

Thanks SaintMike. So if Wilson, Dow and Henry are good enough to line up in our season opener, who makes way? Gresham's spot is the only (really) one available. My team would be based on this B - Wilkie, Howard/Cordy (preference Howard), Webster/Stocker (preference Webster) HB - NWM, Battle, Sincla...

Re: 2024 Home Guernsey?

We can have the crest shape just change up the logo or something. It’s been the same thing for so long. Let’s go for something new. Look at some logos up in the American football z league like the falcons (same colours as the saints). I wouldn’t mind seeing more black and less white and hints of red...

Re: 2024 Home Guernsey?

Is it just me but does the crest need a whole over haul? It’s been the same thing for like 150 years. Let’s get a new brand design going Call me superstitious but I wouldn't mess with a winning brand. I’m saying maybe that’s why we haven’t won a premiership. Same brand. Collingwood changed there’s ...

Re: Training Fri 8/12

Training Friday 8/12 Rehab group: Crouch, Steele, King, Hotton, Owens Van Ess, Wood, O’Connell Drills focused on ball movement, both offensive (ie, moving the ball from halfway line of the ground into the forward line) as well as out of defence. Lots of quick, short, sharp kicks, with most kicks hi...

It’s not supposed to be the 7:30 report! It’s two way banter and supposed to be entertainment, not a serious interview. The excited fan is part of the show. Exactly, the interview was a bit hyped up but allowed Mason to open up and provide stuff I would never get on a formal interview. I'm so glad ...

It would have been even more interesting and enjoyable if the halfwit hosting it would've just shut up and let Mason do the talking! He kept interrupting, talked over his subject, and interjected with meaningless and irrelevant anecdotes. Someone should have a word in his ear and tell him to shut u...

Training Fri 8/12

Mitchito Owens running laps in speed dealers.

Backline transition work today with Wilkie and McLennan doing kick outs and setting up plays. McLennan really showing it up.

Has the club released the times for the 3KTT? Does anyone know what the times were? Please post if you know. While I appreciate the coverage of the session and the reports of our forumites, it seems peculiar that times have not been posted by the club. Without the times, some of the relevance is lo...

I would even say Max King too. From all accounts he’s been amazing with his shoulder prep and has been coming in most days in the preseason to work on it. He’s going to kick a bag.

I love seeing the new boy win the time trial. Will make him a hot contender for a round 1 debut. Seeing Phillipou and Windhager in the top 3 makes me think they will both blow up this coming season. I’m excited.

Re: Draft proposal

Having draft capital helps. Can't pick any players if you don't have any draft picks. That deal with GWS effectively meant we got Liam Henry for nothing. Damn good outcome, I'd say. We’ve effectively got Liam Henry for free. Gave up Coffield for Paddy Dow and Garcia. Collard for Gresham. Billings w...

I’d love us to use Windhager in a permanent tagging role, with Steele and Dow joining him in the middle. Crouch on the bench giving Steele a chop out..Jones (if fit) also on the bench giving Dow a chop out. Sinclair getting more midfield time would also help! Owens & Phillipou getting their min...

Re: Innovators win, not imitators!

I disagree Running power, speed and agility allows for run and spread and ball movement. Henry and Dow bring speed and power Exactly! You can’t teach power, speed and agility. It’s all genetic. Draft players who got this ‘naturally’ and especially ones with good disposal (which we have) and the res...
