Re: Matchday Thread-Saints v Power
Owen’s tries to mark Wood takes it umpire inexplicably takes it off Wood. Ok, we’ve established that the umpires have been directed to ‘blatantly cheat’ for PA today. Why did they cheat for us against Collingwood this year when we got 30/16 frees for and the sealer was kicked by Higgins whilst out ...

Re: Josh Battle
If today's article on AFL website is correct it looks like he's gone but we get very good compo. Be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out (no pun), Love Josh Battle, he actually played with my son in school footy, but if compensation guarantees us a Band 1 compensation pick, then ...

Re: Can't take a trick...
Do people genuinely believe that emotion plays a part in the outcome of a game, other than potentially in the first five minutes of a match when they might be fired up and ready to go? We are not in the 1970's or 80's where Tommy Hafey & Barassi are tearing shreds of the players. Not sure how th...

Re: Changes at end of the year
Turnover of 9 players will guarantee the list going backwards. You want to turn over 3 or 4 for the main draft, 1 for rookie draft, 1 for preseason selection. So a total of 5 or 6. Campbell, Jones, Hotton, Allison, Byrnes, Hayes. Ross could go in that list instead of Byrnes or Hayes but I think he ...

Re: Rory Lobb
Did Billings never play a good game at StKilda? I don’t think there’s been an AFL/VFL player ever - that’s got to that level of footy And avoided physical contact That comment is ridiculous Spot on, 150 games and keyboard warriors questioning his courage. Yes he was predominately an outside player,...

Dow is 2 years older than Barrass and 3 years older than Phillips I am just looking at ways to churn over and improve the list, and find Mason wood style bargains We cannot draft 8 players We also need to add depth to the list When looking for bargains, look for players not getting an opportunity Y...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.
If Norf hadn't blown a 50-point lead, it wouldn't have been a factor. They put themselves in that position. Stuff them. 14-2 FREE KICK count from half time has that effect. OK, so why did the umpires cheat for us against Collingwood? 30/16 frees and the sealer kicked by Higgins was clear cheating b...

B.M - you seem interested in us taking Barrass, Lobb and Phillips.
Please tell me you are not part of SOS’ recruiting team!
Add these 3 to Bonner & Dow, no thanks.
If Barass was any good they’d probably not be as interested in Battle.

Ok, we get it Curly. - AFL instruct umpires to cheat to ensure Collingwood win. - AFL instruct umpires to cheat against Saints every week. - The AFL is corrupt and had a vendetta against the Saints. How many threads do you have to initiate on the topic? Were the threads titled Umpires & Windhag...

Re: Windhager 50
I’m with The Dud on this. Watching the game, I felt it was going to be a 50 before it was played. He wasn’t in the marking contest and he ran to completely the wrong spot. They might have directed him to run 5m back to the actual spot, but It was open to them to interpret his action as deliberately...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.
I think the challenge has always been and remains interpretation and constant change. An action in the first 5 minutes of a match will be a free kick and the identical action with 2 minutes to play in a close match is totally ignored. The same incident at different venues and matches is not dealt in...

Keep posting. You dig the hole deeper with every post. As for the "pretend CV". Just another example of your childish trait of hurling a baseless insult when your drivel is exposed for what it is. Of course, as always, you make sweeping statements about a poster you know nothing about. Th...

3 of my favourite Saints Great servants of the club over a long period Webster Ross Membrey Done ✅ Good careers but are running on empty In Sharman, Schoenmaker, Garcia Hard to argue! All 3 look done, especially Membrey. Saints turn over 7-9 players per season over the past 4-5 years. While these g...

According to some on here, the Tribunal will look at the fixture to see when Power play the Saints and ensure the penalty imposed has him (Dixon) he back in time to kit up against us ![😂](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f602.svg)

Don’t be fooled by the #3 draft number.
Not much chop to date at AFL level.
Another Dow IMO, vg at VFL level, C to D grade mid at AFL level.
Someone on here last week compared Dow to McLuggage, lol![😂](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f602.svg)

Re: Who is our "enforcer?'
No such thing in modern footy, what was a fair bump 20 years ago will now get you 4 weeks. Ben Long was the closest thing we’ve had in the last few seasons who would have been likely to hurt an opponent. Plenty of tough players who don’t take a backward step including Webster, Steel, Battle, Wilkie,...

What a horrendous fixture and one designed to limit the output of a team . So the fixture is designed to limit our output. Re: saints interested in players already
I don't think McLuggage is anything special. He seems very similar to Dow. Is a McLuggage a Scottish suitcase? Sorry, but this comparison is ludicrous. Dow is somewhere between being far too good for the VFL and being a c grade AFL midfielder with questionable foot skills. McLuggage has been top 3 ...

Re: Draft Strategy
On LDU, other than being obscenely over compensated, not sure why a guy who has played his career to date in a basket case club would consider going to mid to lower level club with no profile. If he leaves he’ll still get decent coin at a big club, play at the MCG, etc… Do you think Gresh would be s...

Lol, can't believe people would want to lose to secure a lower pick and a free agent. I guess they have never been exposed to an elite sporting environment and understand the concept of winning. F@rk the draft pick, perform to your best every game regardless of the outcome fight for victory in every...
