Twice!
WTF?
Then we smash them.
Is this a good omen?
Is it coincidence?
How has this happened?
Weird?
I was worried when it happened against Richmond and said to my son on Sunday this means we will smash them based on last week.

Re: Paddy goes *WHACK* D’oh!
1 week seems fair with the new rules and I think that is where it will settle. Its doesn't seem to matter that there was no intent or deliberate action, Paddy merely blocked Day but once the player goes out with concussion they will now act. You really have to get in low if you are going to bump now...

Hayes or Campbell replace Ryder, who does Higgins replace if there are no injuries? - Windhager - NWM - Long - Wood - Byrnes - Paton Who is likely sub? I think Byrnes goes out, perhaps Paton as sub (not going to hurt him having a break after returning from injury) and Higgins comes in. Most likely i...

Re: Windhager
Ideally you'd get 8-10 games into each of Windhager, Owens & NWM this season if they are tracking ok. I'd do a Terry Wallace & "spew my guts" if Hannebery or Geary play in front of these guys unless there is an absolute requirement. Billings, Jones & Clark are all easily starti...

I thought we were keen on Hobbs? Would NWM be getting a game for either Port or Essendon now? It went NWM st Kilda Sinn port Hobbs Essendon We could’ve taken any of them Hobbs is a really good footballer, great junior career, solid, tough reliable. You'd back him in to play 200 games. Could be a Jo...

All three in round five would be amazing.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks Round 4 2022
Jones and Clarke are the only ones I would have back in that side. Billings? Sharman? A fit Hannebery? All three are in our best team I think. Billings definitely, Sharman I like but other than injury who does he displace? A fit Hannebery, I did have a chuckle at that one 😂 I’m not sure a fit Hanne...

I believe Pecketts young daughter Frankie shows a bit for AFLW but not sure any of his boys look the goods at this point in time.

You’re right Players with poor physiques are generally better! On coaches They are important, but ultimately the players win games I’ve seen good teams win - with poor coaches I’ve seen s*** teams lose - with good coaches From a personal standpoint I’ve played under both good and bad coaches Neithe...

Re: Final team. Windhager in Hayes out
A long, long time since we have had 3 teenage debutants in a small block of time or a season (at a guess) for that matter. Very exciting with Owens, Windhager & NWM all likely to feature in matches together this season. It's an exciting next 5 years with those 3 plus King, Heath, Peris, Kyle an...

....along with some possible father/sons. Out of interest who are the others in addition to Boston Everitt (Spider's son)? We had several possibilities that were eligible recently, but none were deemed good enough to draft/rookie. B.M. was talking about one of Peckett's sons. Personally I don’t thi...

Re: Special Message to Curly
After last night, we can clearly conclude that the umps must hate Brisbane even more than they hate St Kilda. :D BTW, the incident last night indicates once again how the umpires don't do themselves any favours with their stupid culture of trying to become pally with the players. The outburst by An...

Re: Langdon or Hill
What did Melbourne give up for Langdon? What did we give up for Hill? They left the same year right?! At the moment Langdon is A Grade and IMO the best Winger in the game Hill is at best B Grade and playing off HB because he struggled to get a kick on the wing! These trades sort of explain the diff...

Re: Saints injuries ahead of round 4.
If they’re in the best 22 yes But I’d have to think Geary would need a COVID outbreak in the team to be best 22 Dan would just need to be match fit (as unlikely as that is!) Up and running, he would be in the best 8 players I’m not sure the current model of Dan Hannebery is best 22 let alone best 8...

Re: Saints injuries ahead of round 4.
Would Ratten actually consider playing Geary & Hannebery if they were fit?
Little doubt the pace of the game has ramped up a gear or two this season, I think both would battle with the tempo.
I like Geary as on field coach at Sandy and Dan can quietly and gracefully retire.

Big fan of Pato like most.
Smashing it in only 3 games back considering the severity of his injury.
Needs to play down back at the moment.
Looked lost against the Tigers on the wing and up the ground.

Re: Are We The Real Deal?
Was important to win. To win a Maddie's match even more so. Sure. But it was like there were two st kilda footy teams. The one before half time and the one after. And each bears little to no resemblance to the other. It's crazy. Interesting point and it seems to be across the competition at the mom...

Re: Are we (finally) seeing the emergence of A graders?
sinclair is also a very good tackler No player at AFL level should have their toughness questioned from behind a keyboard, but it would be hard to argue that the Sinclair of 2017, 2018 & 2019 while skilled and a good player, played a brand of football that was not remotely physical. To his cred...
