Re: Strategy to bring in another FRDP

In terms of analysis of the List, conclusions include that Webster is 29, with Coffield and Clark currently injured

Just for starters

Re: Sinclair Underrated

You really do read some rubbish on this site

Clark and Coffield will significantly improve this side because they are both highest class young footballers- both about the 60 game mark (noting both have endured injuries - Coffield from his breakout first quarter v Fremantle at Docklands)

Re: Saints injuries ahead of round 4.

There are many occasions I disagree with BM

But his opinion on Hannebery I do agree with

Much outside noise is made re the quality of our midfield

Our midfield is quite reasonable and Hannebery will further improve it

Jo has wide experience in this space, resulting in the position she has recently assumed courtesy of her workplace history

The extension is that any criticism of Brett is misplaced and badly misplaced.

And that whoever it is kicked 2 goals The work done by those who run the flanks closing down options and which does not appear in stats is a case in point. On Sunday this relentless running from defence to attack by the likes of Number 7 and Number 8 but not reflected in disposals was vital to the e...

Re: Robbo on St Kilda's Succession Plan

It is my opinion that the journalist quoted has no knowledge of the St Kilda Football Club - and, worse, lifts his opinion from the uneducated comments we see on this site from certain so called supporters of the Club

Re: Best thing about today

What a difference a win makes At three quarter time the comment among us was “how are we within 2 goals, because Richmond were finding space and supports and looking dangerous plus they have size against us” But Ryder kept doing it, taking the mids with him And we started to find the space and run, ...

Re: Why do Sydney always turn up to play?

Injuries play a part Care to list our unavailable players commencing from the Final against Richmond in 2020? Remember also we recruited from State leagues to address on a temporary basis the demographic flaw in our List This was to address experience depth on our List Whilst we now have youth with ...

Sydney. 10.4

I note that the (usual) rubbish peddled on this site re Hannebery omits any reference to the remarks of the Senior Coach on this subject.

Me?

I concur with the remarks of the Senior Coach.

All Clubs, with the benefit of hind sight, can be criticised Drafting is not an exact science St Kilda drafted Riewoldt and Ball, both of whom failed to play a game in their first years - so was there criticism then? Or of Ball, who by any measure was not at the same levels as Judd and Hodge, both J...

In terms of experience the current St Kilda List is lead by Ryder on 269 games, then Hannebery on 223 then Geary on 207, Hill on 190, Ross on 160 and Billings on 144 The game numbers are as of the start of the season In all, at seasons start, we had 12 players who had passed the 100 game milestone S...

Re: Sandy v Casey on AFL.com

Off the stats alone Allison had 16 disposals - 12 kicks and 4 handballs plus 4 marks

So at the least touched the ball more than the majority

So what did he do with those 16 touches?

With all due respect, Frawley, McKernan and Hunter were one season (cheap) back ups for the structural deficiency in our List and were never the future of the Club Absent injuries they played VFL, exclusively Unfortunately we incurred injuries Clavarino was very poor below his knees, Lonie was given...

Just to add, we have recruited the following over the recent seasons Jones, Crouch, Hill, Steele, Hannebery, Butler, Ryder, Howard, Higgins, Kent, Membrey, Lienert, Wood and Campbell. Some of those, being particularly Kent, Lienert, Wood and Campbell, are depth players. From Drafting we have added t...

For all the noise on here, in my view the reason we lost 2 Grand Finals over 2 years (so our bottom 6 and the non promotion of Drafted players to start their careers alongside the cream of those sides instead recruiting who we recruited from bottom sides) to wooden spoon in a matter of only a couple...

MB I disagree with your opinions On all matters you provide your opinion on The reason St Kilda had the Number 1 Draft Pick was that we were the bottom side in the 18 team competition McCartin came into a very, very poor side, as a key forward His undoubted ability was on show v Hawthorn in Tasmania...

The McCartin/Petracca “debate” is tiresome Simply McCartin was a key forward Petracca was a mid fielder Where would McCartin be today free of injury? We may now get some idea as he runs around in Sydney colours Noting he is now playing in defence Petracca took time to establish at AFL level And post...

We wish him well with a recovery - and a ret...
