Re: Isaac Keeler

Word is that Keeler is a huge possibility as you said to be something special but not enough has been seen obviously to be certain of this . Hotton also has exciting possibilities. Van Es also is promising. There are concerns about Oscar Adams though. From what I have seen of Oscar Adams he did wel...

Re: Training

If it was Oscar Adams will see how he goes for sandy tomorrow as long as he gives effort.
He will play either as a KPD or a Ruck or both can't see him going forward so should be in the thick of it.

Re: Round 2 Side

I would defiantly play Phillipou I would bring in WH for webster and Campbell for bytel with both Marshall and Campbell one rucking while the other is forward they would really stretch the WB defence with cordy and Caminiti Paton in and butler as sub extra speed if we need it later or if bigs are no...

Re: Butler subbed out

A sign (just IMHFO) could be Butler getting subbed. My take is that Butler was subbed out as the coaches wanted a bigger player in Wood to play forward more, rather than our three rotating small forwards. That meant one of the three small forwards had to go, and as we know this was Butler. Paton yo...

Re: With the size of freo do we play cordy back and bring in Campbell

I was please to be proved wrong with brining in Campbell as long as we won the the game and we did it well.
Do we now put someone on the long term injury list to open up a spot at the mid season draft could pick up someone good.

Re: With the size of freo do we play cordy back and bring in Campbell

Campbell is too slow and too C grade, he'll be a break glass type player only. And so a very low percentage tactic to try and win ruck contests with such a player. RoMa's strength is playing like an extra midfielder, that's where he'll be trying to get an advantage over Darcy and Jackson. Some very...

With the size of freo do we play cordy back and bring in Campbell

I was looking at what we should do with our side and now I see Freo are playing 4 bigs I really feel we should play cordy as a back move stocker on the interchange, and bring in Campbell for jimmy webster in the forward line. With these changes it allows us to be more flexible with our team in playi...

Re: Saints top AFL handouts and reduce overall debt

Now this might sound a bit crazy but why don't we play some games at Moorabbin each year. Could start with 1 or 2 against GWS,GG which we would only get about 25 thousand about to each year. Every cent we make is ours and if we put up portable stands around the far side of the ground we could possib...

Re: Practice Thread for Practice Match Saints v Bummers 2023

Couple of very unhappy looking boys sitting on the bench in Highmore and Sharman. Neither got a run which is f****** mean but par for the course from our retreaded coach. Why? Caminetti has already gone past Sharman. And Highmore isn’t playing unless Battle or Wilkie gets injured. Also - what’s a r...

Re: Why is Marshall playing in the trial game

Practice does make perfect and Marshall got through it thank goodness but if he is in such great form why risk him. Campbell was in last week pulled out due to family reasons then gets dropped would have liked to see him in the ruck he does need the practice but being a emergence will not get it now...

Re: Why is Marshall playing in the trial game

You make some really good points OTO and I do agree with them I have been to training a few times and watch Marshall work with the minds and he did look good and believe me there have been contact drills at training with the rucks and everyone. My post says if Marshall even plays half a game then le...

Why is Marshall playing in the trial game

Have we not learnt anything why do we play Marshall in Essendon game what if he gets injured he is in good form he doesn't need the run. Even if we play Marshall for half a game and then rest him would have been ok but as we don't have Campbell and Adams in Marshall will ruck the hole game looks lik...

Re: Match SIM squad & Match Thread v Melbourne 24/02/23

Do we play Battle with Sharman and Carminati, forward they all bring something Battle is very strong and has played forward before Carminati is a great mark as is Sharman and have smalls all around them to get crumbs. Down back KPP cordy and Dougal with van es in the back pocket instead of webster t...

I was there as well standing at the goals not Linton st end we only had a few good players then like Georgy Young what a great mark and the Cunningham brothers really mad and my favourite Jeff saru. Came to us last year weighing 71kg. He now is 79kg, which will help him enormously this year. He's now probably only 3 - 4 kg short of his optimum weight for his height considering the role he plays. To put his current weight into perspective he is 187cm and 79kg, while Jack Billings is 185cm and 8...

Great stuff once again Mike. I envy you being able to slip down to training so regularly - the players, coaches and staff must know you as a regular by now? Re: Banger, backs in short -assed attack.

I saw heath and Campbell rucking on Friday against each other, so would we have a option of playing Marshall in the forward line and rucking some of the time and having Campbell rucking most of the time then going forward, Campbell did take some nice marks forward and kicked a goal so don't loose to...
