Re: ITKs Come On Down

For all those ITKs, how about some info please? You all know who you are and you must have heard who's coming and going, apart from those we already know. Can I get the ball rolling by asking, Are we heavily into Aidan Corr who is leaving GWS but is yet to nominate a club, although he's been linked...

Re: The Caldwell conundrum

The assisted clubs are not going to be able to compete with the unassisted clubs and it will get worse. The Dons dont have the same administration type control and monitoring over their finances so they can offer way more than the assisted clubs and can continue hiding dodgy deals because the AFL do...

Re: Dumb question..........................?

You claimed the umpires are independent of the AFL in response to me claiming the Brownlow is a brown-nose award for the fairest player. As usual you go nuts half cocked without comprehending. But while we are chewing the fat, I'll add this, a system that disqualifies the "actual" best pl...

Re: Crouch

We needed an inside gun bull and it seems we now have one pending Adelaide's decision to match or not to match. Keep him fit and kerb his penchant for booze and we have a very good player. Just need Caldwell now to pull the trigger and a fit Gresh and we finally have the midfield depth we have been...

To be fair to Hill, he started the year on 900k pa, and ended on 450k. That's a significant haircut that would make anyone pare back the effort.

Re: Jimmy Webster & Dylan Roberton

Webster has barely been able to get on the park for two years. Roberton was available all year and played one game. I don’t think there’s much currency in either of them. Have always felt that Webster quite overrated on this forum. Has he ever had 1 good season? Feels like he has a string of so so ...

Re: Jimmy Webster & Dylan Roberton

What did you make of Robertson’s game against North in Round one? Did it look like the game has passed him? I would think he is needed. Especially as Carlisle might be iffy. I think that anyone that references the round 1 game of the Astersisk Cup for ANY reason should give themselves an uppercut a...

Re: Dumb question..........................?

You are carrying on a bit, a lot actually. What did you think of the Barry Hall scandal in 2005? Barry has since admitted the AFL interfered with the system to allow him to play when clearly he shouldn't have. Was that not self serving by the AFL? Just trying to bring you to account to validate you...

Re: Dumb question..........................?

Don't over think it, clearly your mindset is a system that is pure and perfect. It has been heavily debated in the past that the Brownlow is a legacy award from a bygone era with many a flaw in the way the best are judged, the fairest bit I don't care for much and absolutely the umpires should cont...

Re: Jimmy Webster & Dylan Roberton

Robbo''s currency is weak, he was a very good player for us but that was over 3 yeara ago and much water has passed under the bridge not mention a healthy heart along with it so he might just be delisted if he doesn't hang up the boots first.

Webster has currency.

Re: Dumb question..........................?

You have failed to prove your assertion Vortex but having conceded that umpires act independently when they cast a vote on match day, how exactly can anyone, including the AFL, change these votes, (which I understand are locked away by the umpires under strict security until the night of the count)...

How good is Caldwell? The way he is being spoken about on here, in a couple of threads, it's like us aiming to get Judd. Is he that good? I feel sorry for Bytel, before this season and right up to his 2nd game, I actually thought Bytel was the offfspring of Judd and Dusty. Now it seems Jye is in fa...

If this is a pre-existing illness, questions need to be asked. Apparently, the club was not aware. Not a great look on North or the coach if true. Really? What questions exactly should be asked? I'm pretty sure there's no "Are you undiagnosed bi-polar?" / "are you likely to suffer a ...

Unimpressed with his press conference. He sounded very wish washy and not very ruthless at all. Probably didn't want to publicly bag his players out and while the private message might be somewhat different, he might be setting them up for future failure. Time will tell. He was pretty dismissive wh...

I don't think we have seen even 10% of the economic fallout from this pandemic and I'm not just talking about footy. Re: The Caldwell conundrum

I would imagine that given the salary cap has not even been agreed by the players assoc. it would be a very hard time to negotiate right now. AFL argued for a 30% reduction in salary cap today (around 4mil out of 13.1) which would have made the clubs, players and their association do a collective v...
