Re: The Seb Ross discussions

IMHO Seb is on borrowed time. The list management aspect will help determine when he's let go, because the recruits already mentioned will overtake him in contribution. Everything he does, will be assessed by data analysts and compared with the recruits. He will slowly fall away and be a depth play...

Re: How a Covid 2020 was a benefit to us.

I have to disagree with part of the proposition in the OP that suggests game style and player development was improved and even possibly accelerated somehow. From my understanding, complete and utter chaos was experienced by all clubs due to the sudden lockdown and then subsequent restrictions to pl...

Re: Excitement surrounding Max King

He'll be working on his set shots this pre season which has a technical flaw. Really? Who would have thought that a professional young footballer would be working on his football skills! Are you sure he’ll have enough time in between trying to improve his golf swing and learning to surf? btw....the...

Re: The Seb Ross discussions

Sen Ross had a correction on his level and talent this year after a more exalted status in poor teams. If he is on the money we have been told 700 k + then he is over paid and will need to temper his salary expectations as we renegotiate several future and rising stars’ salaries to stay at St kilda...

2019.
A holding pattern at best for a 3DP on 800k per season.

Re: Speculaton on 2021 Free Agents

Billings needs a breakout season. What would a breakout season look like for Billings? Serious question. I think it would start by him receiving video analysis of Bont and Pettraca from BR as a xmas gift. From there it would involve the club accountant stamping his coach's game review with "va...

Re: Matching our midfield to others

Yeah Hill is missing from the OPs list and so I think with the exception of Dusty who cannot be matched up against, we bat nice and deep.

We are 18 dollars for the flag, get on them now and hope like hell Covid doesn't derail the 2021 comp.

No doubt about it.
Totally agree, if he plays every game then we are probably very high up the ladder.

Re: Seb Ross v Luke Dunstan

On a couple of comments: I have not seen any confirmed evidence that the club "shopped" Dunstan post season, nor was I aware that he had been caught boozing at some point in his time at St Kilda. Early in his career he was certainly mentioned as a future team captain, based presumably on ...

They're going to kick the ball between the "big" sticks more often, per game.
He did say it was a small tweek so probably not a bad guess

The journo that wrote that piece is clearly making fake news with all those fake quotes from Ratts viv-a-vis Hanners. Everybody knows Hanners is close to being de listed.

Re: Young guns who can take the next step

In his draft year, Jack Bytel was touted a top 15 pick, with back and elbow injuries that year causing him to slide to #43. There was a doco made on the AFL website following 4 gun potential draftees...they were Sam Walsh, Max & Ben King, and JACK BYTEL!! Jack has a golden opportunity to slot i...

Dunny and Bytel is going to be the more interesting duo to watch in 2021, both will have a massive fight on their hands to push into the side. Re: Young guns who can take the next step

I'm already bullish about our midflied so if the second coming of Robert Harvey can become best 22 then as Brian would say, WOWWEE. I still shake my head at how quickly we have transformed the list. And the transformation all started at around the time Bytel joined the club and at that time we were ...
