I think the ruckman point is fair. We've been picking up ruckman in the draft and trading for them for, what, seven years... most successful has been S King - by far. I say pick young quicks, and just pluck mid-age ready-made ruckmen as we need. Developing ruckmen is a waste of time, lots of risk, S...

It's not self-importance. It's voicing your wishes, as a member he/she has a right. You wouldda been there sayin' 'Hey Martin... sit down ya stupid pain in the arse... you didn't get the right to vote so go back and get a life in the cotton fields, buddy.' Ben Cousins as the modern day Martin Luthe...

Re: ST KILDA DECIDES NOT TO PROCEED WITH BEN COUSINS

Saints CEO, Archie Fraser said, "We owed it to ourselves to undertake a rigorous and thorough review and have now made our decision. This is a decision that we didn't take lightly and we still believe that for the right Club, Ben could well be a great opportunity ." For the right club? So...

So why not take the risk?

Yeah Chook, that works - good idea. Although the corporates prefer a shorter name - but some way to combine them would be how it might work for everyone

Thanks ausfatcat - you're correct in how i meant the word 'soft.' And I do agree with the writer before that its harsh on Raph Clarke to be counted among them - although remember I replaced him with himself improved. I'm a big R Clarke fan, and I think he could be anything. But we have to admit his ...

I agree that 'due diligence' is a God-awful phrase taken over the AFL. It's a corporate catchcry that means 'research' and is GETTING ON MY NERVES. A Heraldsun article had 8 uses of the words 'due diligence'

Robert Harvey Oval petition

Support the Robert Harvey Oval petition. I know it's unlikely to succeed, as they'll be looking for corporate naming rights. But it would be good to collect opinions from those who think it would be good. The club might compromise and have the venue incorporate Robert Harvey's name shared with a cor...

From the team that played for us in the finals this year, soft spots were 8: Gwilt, R Clarke, C Jones, Eddy, Fiora, Armitage, McQualter. We also lost Harvey, meaning 9. Cousins, Ray, Ball, Baker add guts and pacde to the midfield - replace Harvey, Fiora, McQualter, Eddy. R Clarke to continue improvi...

I think that's why we're making as much room in the salary cap as we can, so he can nominate terms that nobody else can match. It doesn't mean we have to pay him that, because it's the NOMINATED total that is included in the cap, not any payments under. Alternatively, we may front-end his contract,...

I AGREE WITH YOU, SADLY, ON THIS: He has averaged less than 0.5 goals, less than 14 possessions and less than 3 tackles per game. He does not win enough ball or make enough tackles to be an inside midfielder, but he is not truly fast enough or kick enough goals to be an effective outside midfielder ...

I can't believe the nonsense people get away with on this forum: BAKER IS NOT INJURY PRONE! He got injured. It doesn't make him injury prone. when you get an injury, it doesn't make you injury prone. if you kick a goal, it doesn't make you a good kick for goal. when you drop a mark, it doesn't make ...
