Re: Hanna's first win in Saints colours

They used to say "truth hurts" back when I was a teenager. I think people have stopped saying it because you have to be careful not to hurt people's feelings these days. The truth about Hannebury is that we know how valuable he can be as a player and a leader...the doubts are only whether ...

Players never deviated from the coaches message. Played one short, two pretty well hampered and two lacking fitness. And seriously against a very good coach and technician. Very very happy with themselves. Well done Brett. Nothing's changed with Ross. He has the tools but he probably thought today ...

Gee, not a lot of love for Sebby. He's been terrific last few weeks and his decision making has been excellent. Getting better and answering the challenges as the stand in captain. Still can improve though... Needs to get aggressive with those tackles and don't just do the waltz and carress your opp...

Re: The Number one desired quality that talent scouts look for in elite sports men

First thing they see with their eyes would be the skill of the athlete

I'd say after they take notice of the skills they'd want to see on field leadership and they'd want to talk to the person to understand if they are a natural born leader

So imo it has to be skills first and leadership second

Re: Ratts to get an interview ...

If we don't make finals in 2020 they might try and justify the appointment and perhaps they try and take short cuts. 2 years is putting undue pressure on him and will force the club to make mistakes. I don't want us to look for the easy options of hanging on to good ordinary players or recruiting so...

Re: Eleni Umpiring Saints v Freo

If it's seen as a full time profession maybe more ex footballers might transition to umpiring. At least they've played regular footy and have a feel for the game.

They need to pay them a decent wage and encourage more young AFL players who retire or get delisted to take up umpiring

Agree Joff I don’t think he’s a developer and imo he still as a coach hasn’t taken a struggling side and developed it into something special . He’s not what we need right now. But the guy can coach. Like the way St Kilda climbed the ladder from the bottom to playing in consecutive preliminary final...

I reckon Brisbane will be the team we displace from the 8.

Re: game was lost during the week at selection and game planning

You realise we have no coach for 2019 right? You realise the final 4 weeks is (and must) be used to give young guys opportunities and other guys a chance to prove they should remain on the list? Realistically, winning should probably be the furtherest thing from our minds. Preparing for the trade p...

Paddy the great has played an incredible 29 AFL games in his past 4 seasons (including 2019). What’s even worse is our mate Billy Boy Longer, who has managed a putrid 23 games over the same period, with 17 of those in 2017! If both of these aren’t delisted at the end of the year I’ll spew If they d...

I don't think either will play again but there is no need to pot the blokes. The injuries are out of their control and they are not healthy ones. They need support going forward post footy. I doubt those players will be on Saintsational looking for support. Just channel the love and hopefully they ...
