Re: Max King Watch
There was a fair bit of arm chopping going on too, which wasn't picked up by the umpires for some reason.

Re: Competitive Or Contenders? Asking For A Friend
We're not a contender. Not even close. We'll look really good against teams that can't put the heat on us (such as North in the 1st half, and the Bulldogs yesterday) but will struggle to put it together against tams that bring the pressure. It will take another 10-15 games playing together to be abl...

Re: Team v Dogs
Yeah, I get the criticism on Dunstan but he was in our top 3 players against North. 1st game of the season & yep disposal efficiency was terrible but he got the ball, had 9 tackles, 6 inside 50's. There were plenty of guys in front of him for the chopping block. Very very unlucky. Why do you th...

Re: now it’s Fake Crowd noise
I think the game of AFL football is in undeniable trouble if it's unwatchable without background noise.

Yes, Rod Keogh deserves a mention. Toughest dude around, and very underrated in my view.
Had a beer with him one night at Trannies too, and he was a great guy,

I don't know what's worse - how stupid and pathetic the AFL and the media think the average footy fan is, or
how stupid and pathetic the average footy fan actually is?
Seriously, how do people tolerate this stuff.

Re: What a f######g loser
I think people who are insatiably driven aren't always in control of how that manifests, and can't just switch it off after hours. But if you work like a lunatic and make a fortune you're seen as a hero, with all personal shortcomings forgiven as foibles... if you then party, shag, and burn that fo...

Re: Saints v dogs
The old paradigm started towards the end of the last recession we had and was ratified in 1990 with a new comp which was largely funded by favourable poker machine laws being introduced. Ironically the man that gave us life via poker machines is now telling us we have 3 years to prove we are sustai...

We've been at the mercy of creditors (ie. Banks) and the AFL for the past 100 years pretty much.

As much as I admire Grant, I have to agree 100% with you. Wish him an the druggie loser would STFU. And on that subject of the loser who claims to be a former druggie.... I say pigs arse. Once a druggie always a druggie in my experience. I can't see any problem with past players/officials commentin...

Nailed it re Cedar Meats. Dictator Dan has overreacted and is now tying to claw back some of the damage he’s done. But isn't that a bit contradictory? The reason community transmissions are low, is surely attributed to the social controls that were put in place isn't it? If the Cedar Meats workers ...

Re: Jack Steven Knife Incident
We traded him out for peanuts and are supposedly still paying part of his salary so we are entitled to know what is going on. Who cares what's going on, glad he's Geelong's problem now, and good riddance. We are paying part of his salary. What part of that don’t you understand? Based on the recent ...

Rubbish, we are highly likely to be able to attend games this year IMHFO. Don’t get caught up in the COVID hysteria - there is hardly any community transmission and very few new cases ending up in hospital, so the virus isn’t a strong variant in the community due to the extremely minimal community ...

Does the time slot really matter as much these days? Unless it’s a prime time night game, what’s the difference between Sunday twilight or Saturday 2pm? It's a good point. People aren't going to show up regardless! Although this does give an insight into which time slots and which clubs draw the mo...

Re: Saints v dogs
None of the next 4 games on free to air TV. Terrible time slots. We have been shafted again! Murdoch would have pulled rank and demanded the fixture be geared exclusively to help Fox from going broke. The Mickey Mouse cup will be corrupt to the core. The AFL would be driving a 'maximised' fixture h...

Re: Saints Pledge
Every team is in the same boat, so there are no excuses really, though the people who like to make them I’m sure will continue doing so. If anyone is disadvantaged it would probably be the SA and WA teams, for the first chunk of the season at least. I don't really understand the concept of 'excuses...

Shame there isn’t time for a practice match but Footscray will be rusty same as us. ? Our team has played 1 game together, with 5 new players and under a new coach. It won't 'click' for at least 8 weeks. Probably longer given they haven't been able to practice together for the past month or so.

Re: Jack Steven Knife Incident
I've seen Saints players over the years doing the shittest stuff at clubs and bars over the years. Genuinely s*** behaviour. But the linament sniffers that hang off them facilitate it. They excuse it. They laugh and idolise them. They (and of course I'm generalising here) get so used to having their...

Don't know why I'm posting to be honest, cause I don't really give a s***. But...those of you that 'support' someone off the field simply because they played footy for your club - are THE reason this sort of s*** happens. The God complex that supporters thrust onto young kids out of school, is gross...

Re: Jordans last dance & Jerry Krause some parallels to
Krause got rid of them because he believed he could do it again in his little mind his arrogance got to a level he thought I can replace Jordan Pippen the coach and everyone he was deluded!! It was pretty ironic wasn't it. He was hell bent on making sure everyone knew that the Bulls' success wasn't...
