Woeful Nicknames
Stuv. Winx. Chips. Roma. What the hell has gone wrong down at Moorabbin?? How pathetic are we at nicknames these days??! I pine for the days of Plugger, Fly, Skeeter, Banger, Stiffy, Goose and Chippa. Even epic ones from the grandstand such as Jerry, Man-Child, Beetle Juice and Gonzo. Something's am...

Re: AFL Overkill
So WE will decide who we boo and the circumstances in which WE boo them. Life doesn't work like that. We live in a society. We have to abide by the rules of that society. The rules change from time to time, and whether we like it or not, we must adapt to them. It's all part of being a free range hu...

Re: How Max King should play
Nathan Brown mauled Ben King yesterday. With the way our midfield brings the ball in to F50, Max will be lucky to touch the ball in our team. I'd leave him at Sandy until Cho leaves. We know how he wrecks forwards careers due to his philosophy on how thry should be used. It'd be a travesty to let hi...

Re: The Coach or the List?
The year before we picked Clark & Coffield because we needed midfielders, hoping they would become such. Its very debatable that either of them were best available? On the Worpel v Clark discussion Worpel is streets ahead of Clark and Coffield and TBH I dont see either them closing the gap in t...

Re: Sandy V Werribee
At the game, King is a beast. Knows where to lead and awesome in the air. Bloody hope he’s OK. He had 1 kick didn't he? You are a garden variety d**khead aren’t you? I don’t converse with barnyard animals, who’s intellect dwarfs yours. Get back to work tomorrow <edited by mods> as usual. That’s why...

Re: Sandy V Werribee
How about drafting someone that is injury free to start with.....? Is that too much to ask? Take a diabetic, one whose back is stuffed and one with an ACL Honestly, take someone that is fit!!! Recruitment staff can get in the bin. This.. which is what I’ve been banging on about, but people will tel...

Re: Awkward
I dont beleive its our gameplan or effort. Its our players. Even though they try hard having Seb as our premier mid and Josh Bruce as our key forward as well as persisting with others who will never be better than C grade is our issue. Seb should be our 3rd or 4th best mid as he would at another cl...

Re: Awkward
I see that the reigning Premiers, West Coast, who sit in 5 place. Have scored a mighty 78 points more than us. That's 7 points per game, big deal. You're completely missing the point. West Coast and Simpson have proven that their method works. They've played finals about 4 times, two Grand Finals, ...

A direct result of society today. Softly softly. The world is a model of political correctness gone wrong. Heck, even the vegans can stop the city in its tracks because, lo and behold, some people in this free world still choose to dine carnivorously. I use the word "free" very loosely. N...

Re: Awkward
If you say you don't think that Carlisle, Hannebery, Webster, Lonie and Steven will improve where we are now, then you're been disingenuous or not watching. It's my honest opinion that the game plan Richo has instilled in the group, renders the quality of the player pretty much useless. I honestly ...

Re: How many players on our list would be automatic selections....
In my opinion, the following would be very good to excellent AFL players in a good system (ie. A Well coached team):
Gresham
Billings
Marshall
Membrey
Bruce
Sinclair
Clark
Hind
Ross
Battle
Wilkie
Long
Coffield
Steele
Steven
Carlisle
Hannebury
Geary
Under Cho, about 3 are decent.

In my opinion, cretins that go to the footy each week and carry on like fools deserve to be embarrassed.
There actually should be a law against adults wearing footy jumpers in my opinion.

Re: The Coach or the List?
I already shudder at what it would look like if or when he is sacked. It would look like it has always been when presented with the wooden spoon. When you have the weakest list in the competition and don't have coach that can drill some system and structures into the team, spoons are a just reward....

He's been there for 6 years.
He's had Nick Riewoldt in his team FFS. It doesn't matter.

Re: Awkward
We fielded 9 players with less than 50 games today, 3 or 4 of them with less than 10. That's an inexperienced team. How are Richmond going with all their injuries? Err dude, they're 7th on the ladder. But we are 8th on percentage. Only got 23 percentage points off Port in the eight Why do you think...

Re: Awkward
We smashed them in inside 50s, If we'd kicked straight and avoided a few dumb mistakes, it was a 5 to 7 goal win. Richmond would love such a win at the moment. But for 6 years, we haven't kicked straight. For 6 years, we've made the same dumb mistakes. If that was going to change, it would have by ...

Re: The Coach or the List?
Other teams bomb it long plenty of the time, the difference is most of them have forwards who can either read it better or mark it. All we really have is Membrey - Bruce can never get enough separation as a forward, and when he does get some he'll often fumble it. Really? We're 9th for Marks Inside...
