Re: Match Thread Saints v Bummers Round 2 2019
Not a game I'm proud of overall but a win is a win! I was definitely not expecting the lads to lift in the 4th. So I was wrong and glad to be.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Bummers Round 2 2019
They're likely to do us over the last quarter. We looked really bad in the 3rd, bombing it out of defense to no one - in one series we bombed it forward out of defense 5 times - twice into the arms of Essendon and 3 times to a contest we lost. I thought we have a plethora of halfback with decent spe...

The last guy nailed 2018 and 2019, actually the last 5 years.

Re: GT Fears for Saints' Future
Come out and beat Essendon and this talk disappears Have hanners come on and uplift the team from round 5 and this talk disappears Have King come in and show the potential of a future gun and this talk disappears Footy is fundamentally a week by week proposition - you live and die by your performan...

Re: Jake Carlisle back injury - 5 months?
I hope Jake the best. The club will no doubt allow him all the time needed to recover.
I think it is easy to predict he will not return in 2019, which is terrible. The only positive from the team view is that other players have the development opportunity.

Re: Changes for bombers
Pierce was smashed - I like him and we should've played him already in years past - thus getting games into him, but if we are trying to win games he's got to get replaced by Marshall.
Joyce had a crack and improved but giving away the free kicks killed us, Brown replaces him.

Re: To be sacked immediately.......
What about Jono get called up from the under 16's into the senior side at Girgarre Football, even though he was really 11, but the heavy peach fuzz on his lip played us. Farcical! I think the whole think was a nod because Janet at the Country Womens BBQ out the back, gave little Rodney 2 snags for t...

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
So you don't count 3 shots on goal that went out on the full...which is insipid.wasaintsfan wrote: ↑Sun 24 Mar 2019 4:26pm So much negativity and unsure why? Some clear sign of improvements.. IE our score accuracy ....

Re: Rd 1 Saints v Suns - match thread
Anyone think 3 shots at goal out on full are an improvement on last season?

Oh Lordy, 1st game of the season and I'm praying it's meaningless, if not we have a season full of 10 goal losses heading our way.

Re: No Joshing.
No prizes for Mick, IF a club official stated they didn't know Hannebury had hamstring issues that would reflect VERY badly. As far as I am aware, everyone in the galaxy knew he had been injured for 2 years and on a significant downturn, output wise, because of his injuries ( maybe the injuries occu...

WHO was our best recruiter in the past 40 years?
I want to say John Beveridge for obvious reasons:
Robert Harvey, Stewart Loewe, Nathan Burke, Lenny Hayes and Nick Riewoldt, James Gwilt, Sam Fisher, Stephen Milne, Barry Hall to name a few.
Was there a better recruiter ever at the club? Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: A Letter To Dan Hannebery
Its akin to judging a political party or a PM or President that is barely into their first year of a 4 year stint. There are plenty of examples to draw upon. Again, how anyone can say Hanners is already a disaster or a scam is not drawing up real world examples or the anals of history itself. If it...

I appreciate Richos consistency. He never changes no matter how bad things get.
