Re: Doggies offer 3/4 year deal for Bruce
I believe that Hodge he could potentially help both Membrey and Bruce to perform at peak. Bruce recovered from injury and played a decent season. I don't think we have a ready made replacement, however, there are several young guns that could step up. But should we wait? If Bruce has an average year...

I guess I really am old. I completely missed St Kilda hiring Nathan as a coach.

Re: TASMANIAN SAINTS?
From St Kilda along the bayside to Frankston, that's our home. I would also suggest its more heavily populated than all of Tasmania. We shouldn't even hypothetically think of such nonsense, leave that to the Gold Coast or North. I agree there is a long history in the Bay. I think it would be hard t...

Re: TASMANIAN SAINTS?
Rooey was born in Tassie, but I thought his family moved to Southport Qld (Gold Coast) when he was 3 yrs old? So he's pretty much a banana bender? I wondered this as well, he told me his extended family was all in Tassie and they hold interest in properties, visting regularly growing up, and someho...

Re: When did Constable become Patrick Cripps?
He is a Sandringham Dragon kid, 190cm+ and has averaged 21 disposals over his first 7 games His disposal count in his 7 games has been 21 31 23 16 21 27 11 - he also averaged 5 marks a game and kicked 5 goals in those first 7 games An inside beast with huge upside - has had a super impressive start...

TASMANIAN SAINTS?
I have wondered what our club would look like in Tassie? Pros: - More supporters who are dead keen ( estimate is 25,000 new members) - Zonal Draft selections ? - AFL wipes Club debt? - Uniquely positioned as the only club in the state - Extra draft selections to help with the move? - New stadium / n...

Re: Carlisle on trade table
I heard he was playing in a fair bit of pain.
If the chat was truth, he came back a bit early, keen to have a go, but has been cracking the sads more at himself and his inability to move freely and run aggressively.
It appears when he is not able to play well he may get disenchanted.

I get it, take the piss, just for a laugh. Pick one of our 10 worst players to have had a senior game and say he is the best we have. I get it. Classic. 2019 15 Games ( 29 career) Disposals: 9.73 per game Marks: 6.47 per game Marks inside 50: 0.73 per game Rebound 50's: 0.27 per game Contested mark...

Re: 2020 is going to be a disaster unless...
Skills come with confidence. You suspect that the players, deep in their hearts, have little respect for the coaching department. After today's predictably putrid effort from the usual suspects, I'm convinced that Ross is our best chance. Ross Lyon? Ross Smith? Jock Ross? I can see what you're tryi...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 23 2019
And Franklin gets his fourth, cheer cheer the red and the white. I knew we would play to the script. I posted that on here and it is has all come true - all of the retirees getting their final game goal celebrations, Buddy kicking a bag, the lot. Even the third quarter was exactly how I thought it ...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 23 2019
Forwards coaches and goalkicking coaches must go - no ifs or buts. The club won't be able to survive another season like this. Our reserves coach has to go too. We are getting schooled by a bunch of guys from the NEAFL. Ratten been our forward coach most of the year. Seems right, Hamill was the for...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 23 2019
Sitting here looking into the sun....it feels weird, almost like the lads don't care, as if the season is already over. The 2nd efforts are not there and the skills are lacking.
I hope they lift but we are not doing anything too strange I guess, we are one of the worst 1st quarter teams.

I hope this was done in some unexplainable positive way?
NEVER NEVER do Saints go for a loss.
Not to get rid of a coach.
Not to get draft position.
NEVER.
Win. Always want a win.

Re: Ratten vs Richardson
Any comparison on a handful of games is incredibly flawed. Scientifically there's too many indifferent variables not only in the teams played but venues, history with opposition at various venues ( e.g. Adelaide @ home), coach changes affecting morale, player injuries, time in the season, etc etc. We...

Re: BRANDON WHITE
I read on here a month or so back that Richo wouldn’t play him because White’s mum is pushy and giving the club a hard time about him not getting a game. Any truth in this? Not sure about the rumour mills but the story is Brandon's mum posted something on Facebook about the club not Richo. Supposed...
