Re: Mr 30%

Screw picking the best available. Recruit a decent
Midfielder. Not a flanker who has potential. Pick a
Bloody midfielder in the draft. Games are won by our
Opposition and lost by us in the midfield.

Re: Unpopular Opinion

Two goals a game is not too shabby for a guy who often plays quite far up the ground. Especially with the midfielders delivering into the forward line so poorly. He certainly isn't a champion but if Paddy had worked out, he would have been just a depth player. If King works out, he'll most probably ...

Re: Acres - The Forgotten Man?

Sadly Acres has sprained his potential, which is a 2 to 9 week issue.
It's particularly tragic for him, because that's all he has shown up to now.

Re: Hannebery on reduced workload following hamstring setback

I’ve heard that his hamstring is fine and his lay off has nothing to do with an injury but something else entirely

Re: Injury update

Our recruiters continue to recruit players that won’t improve the team in the short term either because of injuries or because they are not playing in the position we need. I was appalled last year when we gave away our second pick and this year we gave away our second and third pick. Then we scramb...

Re: Two Ruckmen in 2019

While Billy does quite well at ruck taps, we have to take the hit and accept that is all he does.
I've seen nothing in his around the ground game to suggest any other potential.

Re: Safe to watch AFL360 on a Monday again

Without doubt, Richo is one of the most boring commentators on football in the media. if you can stomach the 'significantly pleasing" and the waterfall of cliches, the weekly 'the boys are really feeling it and will really focus next week and you'll see some changes' is intolerable, especially ...

Re: Likelihood of three defenders missing in Round One?

This situation reminds me of a few years back, when it seemed that we had a lot of depth. What we soon found we actually had was a lot of C and D graders that filled a spot for a few years and then disappeared. Looking down the list of unproven potential talls, backmen shifted from forwards and an e...

Re: Gears to stay skipper

If the coach can be reappointed with such a poor record, I suppose so can the captain.
If true, this suggests that not only is there is no regard to performance in re-appointments, but there is a dearth of leaders at the club.

Re: Saints chasing big names

I don't doubt that we will be chasing the "big fish", but it's another matter whether or not they will be interested in our offer. The last few years have consumed do much energy and talk about a few names that didn't sign with us, so I don't have the energy to get involved in fruitless ch...

Re: Blake the Barbarian

I see Blake pretty often in Brighton, so I guess he lives hereabouts. I also see Josh Bruce and Gilbo around. Blake doesn't seem to massive in the flesh, and has more of a basketballler look about him. I hope he lives up to his potential this year as he is prone to disappear, both due to injury and ...

Re: Billy Slater Tackling Practice

There are a few players who could benefit from learning how to tackle, like Lonie and others who might learn what a tackle is, like Newnes or Paddy.

Re: If Adelaide offer us picks 8 &15 for pick 4

I wouldn't want us to downgrade our picks that far. I didn't really understand the previous downgrading of picks we made in this draft, when we swapped an early 20's pick for a late 20's and mid 30's pick.
