Re: Ben King
The difference between the two to me is Ben is in a much better forward set up, got a lot of balls leading into space inside 50, a concept that seems totally foreign to our coaches it would appear! Also he just looks more confident at this point, again I would put this down to the system he is work...

The most important thing was he clearly looked like he was comfy and not out of his element and he has some tools that are going to be useful at the elite level.

What a s*** thread. Howard tried his guts out as he does every week.
This is the reason I normally stay away from this place after we lose.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
Getting a bit sick of Ratten and his game plan. I thought we had a ripper coach but not so sure any more. Our field kicking and goal kicking should be a focus for the rest of the year and we need to nail the best mid available with our first pick which will be a too 10 one. Very disappointing. I ag...

Re: Let's Start with New Coaches
So sick of people on the internet who want to sack the coach every time the team plays poorly.
FFS this s*** has gone on long enough we can't keep sacking coaches.
Ratten is good enough, we need to recruit better and build a better team for him to work with

Our trading has been pretty good but in the last 10 years, our drafting has been terrible.
Not sure he will make it, like a lot of others.

Re: Kingy Ya Killing Me!
As a prize recruit forward in his second season, he needs to have improved his goal kicking and marking. I would rather back DMac to kick a crucial goal at the moment. Much work for the coaches to do with Max No one is saying he doesn't need to improve but give him a chance to do it. He's only play...

Re: Kingy Ya Killing Me!
People need to calm down. He's not even halfway into his second season It's clearly an issue for him at the moment but he's a kid. He will improve his kicking. To be honest I'm more encouraged by the development of the rest of his game than I am concerned about his kicking. Top 10 in the league for ...

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
If we had a full list to pick from for round one, none of those three would get a game. So Higgins stays in, even though we have an excess of small forwards, and Bruce would stretch defenses and take heat off Winx? No way Bruce plays with Marshall Ryder Battle King. Correct mate and neither would H...

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
I seem to recall a lot of games where Hind went missing and provided zero impact. Yeah, he did but we played him as a forward. 3 games into his career at Essendon at HBF where which was always his best position and he seems to be a much much better player. Can't believe we never at least tried him ...

Re: Players I would most like to see improve.
1. Brad Hill. If he wins our B&F then we win the flag. A matchwinner who is cream on our cake. 2. Max King. If he can clunk marks and average 4 goals a game then we will be hard to beat. 3. Hunter Clark. If he improve as much as Steele did this year then we will have another A- grade mid. 4. Ja...

Good about time we had some representation.
No way Steele was on the bench last year if we had Roo on the committee.

Re: Time Trial
Hanna's winning is huge.
I believe the word was they did something different with his last Hamstring (maybe removed some scar tissue or something) but even in the final series last year he had his zip back and this result is very encouraging as well.

Re: Essendon offer for Hind
If they are offering a 4th round pick keep him.
We probably won't even use a 4th rounder this year.
Hind to me is the kind of player who probably plays better in a good team and I think we are going to be pretty strong next year.

Stephenson's body looks exactly the same as it did when he was drafted.
I'm concerned either he hasn't put in the work to put on any muscle and size or his genetics don't allow it.
It's a no from me

Re: Best position for Ben King at St. Kilda
I'm not sure we are going to get him if we do won't be anytime soon.
He is going to want to be the main forward. I don't think he wants to play CHB
Both him and Max in the F50 would be tricky

I wouldn't put much weight in those comments by Garry Lyon. I don't think we are trading him Don't listen to SEN, does Lyon still work with uncle Tim? If so uncle Tim might have spilled some gossip? Uncle Tim was right about Caldwell choosing Essendon ... on the morning of the day it was announced....

Re: The Billings Dilemma
I think it's worth trying him forward again. He was always able to win plenty of the ball in that role and delivery well to other forwards but he failed before because he couldn't kick straight. In the last two years he's been an accurate kick for goal and it might be worth re-visiting him in an 80:...

Re: Paddy, fit and symptom free.
I actually think in today's environment Kosi would never have played again after the hit from Giansiracusa.
And he was literally never as good from that moment onwards.
