Re: Rowan Marshall is unhappy?
Term used was "unsettled ". 124 games. AA Leadership Group. Undisputed first ruck and best player in the Club. Performing very well. Multi year contract. Sure, that would be unsettling. Lot of tosh? Club sliding down the ladder. Looking very unlikely that we will be challenging within the...

Re: Dangerous tackle on Sam Walsh
The MRO/Appeals process seems terribly inefficient.
Fines seem a bit silly as well.
Maybe a points system with suspension when a certain aggregate is reached.
Christian well past his fit for purpose date.
AFL run by amateurs?

Re: Anyone have any intel?
Morris and integrity in journalism have not crossed paths. Its another disingenuous attempt to make trouble, get clicks. There is no AFL "journalist" that is trustworthy. As the utube program on them observes: their approach is to throw darts at the board and very occasionally get one righ...

Re: Can't take a trick...
I never liked this narrative - I know it’s a thing but if a club can fire up because of criticism/the sacking of a coach… then another club can resolve 2 push themselves even harder because the opposition is going to go harden than ever. To me it reeks of loser mentality and making excuses. RE Port...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.
One feature that has been pushed front and centre for us though is the need to get good home crowds, at least. The club might do well to make that a priority as a lot of good things flow from good crowd support. Better fixtures, better player effort more fun for supporters. Not sure what can be done...

Oxford St Saints; Paddington Bears; Parramatta Pride; Bridge Walkers; Bondi Waves. Opera House Ospreys. Endless possibilities. Doco would have a tragic ending but.

Without a pitch where would you get a quagmire. Flatter the pitch better the quagmire? Might even extend Seb's career. Give us a real home ground advantage. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 23 Jun 2024 10:47pmreally? cool .. didn't see any cricket there.. a fair bit of footy though.

Did Billings never play a good game at StKilda? I don’t think there’s been an AFL/VFL player ever - that’s got to that level of footy And avoided physical contact That comment is ridiculous JB was unlucky, just got to potential contests that fraction late or was distracted in the moment. It might h...

Re: Power after the bye
Port can't defend a tall and/or strong marking fwd line. We will isolate Max and Ratagolea.
Wish we had another strong tall fwd.
Their talls, Gorgeadis and T. Marshall will cause us problems.

No premiership is paltry.
Club has fielded a team in first grade for 151 years.
Currently competitive and building. Good facilities, good financial position, membership growth.
SydneySainter relocate your hand. Your brain has already merged with your bulls***.

Parents that give kids names that make filling in Arrival cards difficult create a burden for their elaboratly named offspring. Often it can mean they can't play so well with the weight of letters on their back.

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.
The AFL and therefore umpires want close games. I do not understand trying to manufacture results - but to watch Jeremy Cameron have a shot at goal after the half time siren, the umpire call play on and the kick count is beyond me. The Umpire clearly calls play on - the kick has not happened - no c...

If Leigh had used Daniel Bradshaw and Alistair Lynch as ruckman I'd be more inclined to take the suggestion seriously.
I suppose Amarty should have a go as well , Longmire protecting his key forward by resting him after 9 goals misguided?

Sydney Swans detest GWS' existence so as the current GWS deep talent pool empties GWS will slide to irrelevance. Similarly Suns are going nowhere ladder wise over 5 yrs. Gillon was able to get his way over the presidents. Dillon won't have same clout. Days of huge largesse to Suns and GWS should be ...

Collingwood has destroyed Melbourne with thug tactics but its crickets in the media. Losing Brayshaw and Petraccia in violent illegal cowardly contests has really put the skids on the Dees. What's the stories: Maynard is a misunderstood lamb and Moore's knee is not as material as Christian's family'...

Passive acceptance of injustice is rather foolish. Taking the side of forces that work against you is really dumb, no matter how badly a person might wish to point score.

Current set of umps are intimidated by big clubs and big names. Goes to their training.
They are possibly also confused and p'd off at all the instructions re interpretation and nuance that seem to be on the run stuff from GHQ.

Fast using up the good will naturally extended to a newbee and being female, which must make the role harder not easier. She would be wise to start getting points on the board and consolidating. Umpiring has to be a priority. Defending the indefensible isn't going to cut it, needs to reflect she ser...
