Re: Stolen by corrupt umpiring again

Wasn’t in the contest and chose to stand 5m over the mark 🙈 Why wasn’t it 50 when the Lions player gave the ball to Butler even though the free kick wasn’t his. Because as the umpire said, Butler called for the ball Serious stop crying about every single thing So he gave the Brisbane player a warni...

Re: Liam Henry

He doesn't have that goal freek-ness that a lot of indigenous have. He is a runner. Much better out on wing. Off half back. Speed and run. He doesn't seem to get in the right spots for goal snaps. Maybe Ross is hoping that he can use his speed and agility. I just don't think the goal hunger and raw...

Re: Match Thread Brisbane V St Kilda

Not possible without a Quantum computer. Too many variables. 4 umpires, three parts of a ground. Constant asymmetric play. Etc. But just common sense and observation lets a reasonable person deduce the standard of umpiring is poor because at least 10% of decisions in any game are wrong or blatantly ...

Re: Match Thread Brisbane V St Kilda

Iam finding it really hard watching AFL atm ,the way it is umpired the rules and the way they change from week to week.IMO there are too many umpires, and too many differing calls Far too inconsistent. Often factually wrong. Some bordering on self important look what I can do stuff. Need to be absol...

Having LDU and Wardlaw ahead of you might be frustrating.
At Sandy his main counterpart might be H. Garcia. But that's also a fair bit of talent to get past.

Remember the good old days of a home and away fixture. One home, one away. AFL trades on tradition while trashing the fundamentals. Current umpires boss is a real worry. Corporate speak, corporate think. It's a sport pal, if Harvard Business School could deliver championships Alan Richardson would b...

In 2009/2010 I was very content with our scoring prowess - I’ve not experienced another year like 09 where I would go to the footy and opposition fans were shyte scared of playing us cause they expected to lose…. I want that level of sustained performance again No other available coach out there ri...

Re: Two Prong Attacks?

A gun midfield is much more important than a "two prong attack". A gun midfield makes an average defense and offence so much better. Like someone said earlier, Pies won with no gun forward. The Dees won with Ben Brown. Geelong had a dynasty with an elite midfield making guys like Hawkins,...

Re: Ross Lyon you do my head in

I don't think we need drastic changes in personnel. Most of the changes have upset our rhythm since round 2 and we need stability in the team Nearly ALL of the forwards have had interruptions in form because of injury or suspension. In Caminit's 'case it's been due to getting dropped. I'd leave him...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Suns

Dead right.
AFL Secretariat seem to be conceding an umpiring decision each week while ticking off a pile of shockers. Give the impression no serious problem, we are reasonable and listen.
It forgets we have first hand or recorded evidence of the actual circumstances.
