Re: Caminiti in line for round 1 debut
Baptism of fire coming up. Good news is that he and the pou will have had their first game. They like Sharman are going to make mistakes which they will learn from so hopefully us fans give them a break

Re: Saints team v druggies
I think Roman will take it easy for most of the game. He knows he can’t get injured. Due to lack of choice we are playing youngsters who aren’t ready yet and they will get found out soon enough. That’s not an insult neither more that they will go against experienced campaigner with bigger bodies. Th...

Shame that he has so much potential as he is probably going home next year. This is based mostly on his lack of contract. I hope he still has a break out year if for no other reason it increases his value

Re: Invited to train
Horse before the cart hete. The kid has been invited to train, that’s it. He is not in the club let alone the team yet so nobody should even be talking about him playing. We just need to accept that our forwards are going to lacking for the first month or so. But members is there and I never got the...

Re: Best Available 22 Rnd 1
The way we are going with injuries you can remove “best” from the thread title.
As for Sharman he was successful in his first few games, not brilliant but good enough to hold his position. I’d say we play him due as he will now be in our best forward options and see how he goes again at afl level

If he hasn’t signed by season start then it’s not a good sign. Still enjoy him why we have him and make crows/port pay big time for him

Out of interest would it possible for someone to post a report about training. This thread seems to have gone off on various tangents that aren't related to the thread’s purpose: thanks in advance

Re: John Ralph, Predicted ladder after first six rounds
It’s pretty reasonable. We have a new coach which means our game plan has now changed and will take time to implement which means the first months of next year will be putting it into practice. We also have lost our main target up forward which isn’t great and no Dan Hannebery so it’s not all bad. I...

I wouldn’t cut off our nose to spite our face. We will get by until max returns but I wouldn’t play guys out of position and hamper their development until he returns. Ie backs play as backs especially battle who has found his niche position

Re: Max King to miss months
Well that sux. On a plus Sharman and Hayes will be given a perfect opportunity to show their value. Or maybe Ross will have a plan in place by round one. If not well it’s a good season to suck in as it’s meant to be a superdraft Hayes won't be back until approx round 5 True but king won’t be back t...

Re: New Maximum(less) forward line ideas??
Sharman for mine. If nothing else he will take their best defender which is a plus. Yes he isn’t the best but he will learn a lot and he is the best off a bad bunch. I wouldn’t put battle up forward as he has found his calling in the back half as does Howard What this willl mean is that we will not ...

Re: What a brilliant draft - well done Saints!
Credit where it is due the recruiters did well. Ross being coach would have virtually no impact on who we selected. So praise to the selectors As for selecting guns or duds, that will become clear later on but on paper phenomenal draft. We got Matteas ranked 2-10 depending on various mock drafts, a ...

1. Our culture isn’t right and this is public record ** and that has to change. And how do you do that? By bringing back club legends who were renowned for their on field and off field work and who can turn the culture around. Welcome back Lenny and Banger and to a lesser degree BJ 2. We are not a d...

Re: Draft Target
James Van Es is the defender we want. If we can get him with pick 47 (or whatever it will be by then) then we have done well. He will take years to come good but plan for the future plus well worth the risk. Doubt it would take years for Van Es to make it..he’s already 99kg’s @ 18 years old!! I hop...

Re: Tsadis / Phillipou / McKenzie
HS latest Phantom Draft has us taking Busslinger, the 196cm key defender from WA with MacKenzie ending up at West Coast at about Pick 14 or 15. What have we got against midfielders with speed, good decision making and good disposal, especially if they are in our own backyard? It’s all speculation a...

Re: Ethan Phillips
I mentioned in another post that some have the 10th best player in the draft is Jedd busslinger or something like that. He is the best defender in the draft apparently. He will fill a hole in relation to not having enough developing key defenders. As we are not in a premiership window he wouldn’t be...

Read in another mock draft that Jedd busslinger is who we will take if available. From wa so go home factor is there but best back in draft I think. Makes sense as we have that whole to fill as well
