For what it's worth I heard Sheldon on SEN saying that Goose was overseas at the moment and expected his contract to be settled when he returned.

Hudson would be heap better bet than McDonald who is always injured (sounds a bit like another ruck on our list) and appears to have fully recovered from a knee reco.

Hudson would also be easily be the best ruck on our list.

There is some merit in considering trading our pick 9 for a later first round pick say 13 or 14 if you could pick up an OK player as well a la Richmond did with Polak and also end up with someone like Spider junior at the dogs with your first round pick.

We need another ruck and Jolly IMO is better as a ruck than any player on our list. However he is not worth giving up our first pick for - which is what the Swans would want of us. However saying that the Swans would also be concerned that the Tiger who badly need a ruck don't grab him in the psd fo...

I am not sure on this as the rules have changed a few times but if NAB Cup games count and if we play say 3 of them Bakes may only miss 2 regular season matches.

Can't see Fev (who is contracted next year) leaving Carlton except if someone is stupid enough to pay Carlton way more than he is worth and given Carlton will have plenty of picks they will be looking for players (and Goose would not be enough for a trade) Given that the full forward role will need ...

Apart from the good points that Stinger has identified the things that amazes me is that Baker had previously proven to be a very poor advocate for himself. It was basically his own testimony that got him convicted of the ridiculous charge of an attempted strike on Stafford. Given that I would have ...

I doubt Hamill will play again so forget about his contract that is a sunk cost ie we have to pay it reardless. The key thing is by keeping him on the list we are denying ourselves the possibility of having someone on our list who can play and who knows it maybe that we pick up a Westof like Port di...

Agree with your post Riewoldting. However IMO I don't think we will get any satisfaction out of the flawed AFL appeal process and to effectively present the sort of arguments you are advancing we may need to pursue them through the courts - an action I would strongly support. However my gut feeling ...

Don't think we are going to get any immediate joy from appealing this bs decision given the way the AFL appeal mechanisms are structured but the club will need to lodge an appeal if its to pursue other legal action. I work in an environmemnt where my decisions can be taken to court and if I made a d...

We should not move on. This decision is manifestly unjust and the charge would have been tossed out of any court. Based on the tribunal's own assessment all Baker is guilty of is putting himself in the way of Farmer who collided into him and the bottom line is he has copped 7 week for it so forget a...

Adelaide desperately need a quality key position forward. They have been looking for years and even wasted a couple of high draft picks on Carey in search of such a player. Kosi is the only saint player out of contract that fits that bill. Doubt very much if Kosi would be interested but looks like h...

Father time catches up with everyone and with footballers it tends to happen pretty quickly. Harvs last 3 weeks have been very poor by his lofty standards he has looked slow and has had little impact. I think his time might be up although I certainly didn't think so on his 350th and maybe he is carr...

We got screwed big time in the 3rd Qtr and they got at least absolutely 3 bs goals from those decisions. At the end of the day IMO those decisions could have cost us the game notwithstanding being out played in the last qtr.
