Looks like we are after a tall defender from the pie accoridng to this story. St kilda wish list is understood to include Nathan Brown and several of the Magpies' younger tall defenders rather any of the so-called A-grade talent at the Lexus Centre, a request that has a financial reality built into ...

Steven King?

I know he is out of contract and there is talk that he will sign a one year deal. I also understand the argument for having another experienced ruck on our books given that Gardiner is injury prone and our backups are two developing rucks in McEvoy and Stanley. But the real question is are there bet...

Did Geelong have all the best players

I don't know if this is just me but one of a number of things that has annoyed me after the game is the blatant bias in player assessments and rewriting of history after the game . What I mean by that is that the cats player seemed to get way better comparative rankings than the saints player yet I ...

Any problems for Goddard?

I didn't see it but some pies supporters said
Goddard would be cited for a head high hit on Thomas. Did anyone see it and has he got anything to worry about?

Collingwood are locked into supending both players after they have both admitted lying to the club and given the tenor of the subsequent media release. However IMO this is not in our best intersts. We would be better off if they did play as although clearly very important players for the pies they a...

Apart form definitely dropping Gardiner after his pathetic performance and bringing in Kosi we also need to factor a replacement for Max given I understand he he has a calf strain which normally take several weeks.

Found this match report in the Hobart Mercury which suggests both Schneider and Michael Gardiner had good games yesterday and maybe in line for a recall. http://www.news.com.au/mercury/story/0,22884,24012461-13222,00.html IT was an all too familiar sight in Melbourne yesterday as the Devils produced...

I can't believe how many people think this a great draw. I would far sooner trade off a tougher start to the season and play 18 games in Melbourne which we should do if we were any other Victoria based club that has not sold home games interstate. There should be no compensation for a club in terms ...

I hope Gardiner is fit because if there is a significant level of doubt he should be delisted. I will therefore be really pissed off if come round 1 we have another Hamill scenario of a player on the never never if that is the case you would be better off even with someone like Richards or Brooks on...

I have read all the rumours and can understand the arguments supporting the delistings although not neceasrily agreeing with them.

I just want to know when we are going to see something from the club to substantiate what has or hasn't happened.

I have been concerned about some recent posts suggesting Gardiner has very bad foot problems which may mean he is not able to play next year. Richards and Bryan are both rubbish and one of them will go probably Bryan - but we should stay well clear of both. Similarly if we pick up a ruck Brooks will get the flick at last. But back to King I have similar reservation about him as number of other posters ie age and history of injuries. Howev...

I can only see Brooks staying on the list if we don't recruit another ruck.

If we don't he may stay and share ruck and forward duties with Kosi but the bottom line is he has done sfa and should be delisted and no club would vaguely consider him as a trade option.

We would get shafted in any deal with Hawthorn Pelchen made everyone very happy there by being the mastermind behind the Thompson and Hay deal.

Any deal Pelchen put together for us will also involve us getting shafted just like North was.

Goose had a predictably disappointing year coming back from a huge injury which was compounded when he broke his foot in round 1. We have no one else on our list who can play CHB, he will be a lot better with another pre-season and we must do everything to keep him. Forget about trading him to the h...

He has stuffed knees like Voss - the best thing for him to do would be to retire - we honour his contract (although it would be good if we could negotiate a lower payout) - we get someone else on our list who can play and he does something productive for himself and the club as a development coach
