Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
We know some details about Richo’s contract: if he doesn’t win a final game then he isn’t guaranteed to coach next year. What interests me is who provided that information to Tom Morris & what was their motivation in doing so? Expect change (unless we win a final). We know jack about the detail...

Re: Coach in 2020 Who do you think it should be?
Sam Mitchell. He got the Eagles midfield purring and they won a flag on the back of it. He had a good group to start with. I mean - Shuey, Gaff and Redden alone .... serviced by NicNat/Vardy/Lycett is pretty much a dream combo. I'm happy to give credit to Mitchell for some of it but I'd like to see...

Re: Richo.......
If we could miraculously get our injured players on the park (including the indefinite ones like Roberton, McCartin and Steven)- we would be a whole different proposition. We'd be playing finals this year. But, in any case ... We should start doing what the three-peat club does (and other successfu...

Very good player that we got for a bargain. He might just slightly balance out the failed Paddy pick.

Re: Richo.......
Fairly obvious to most that the slight improvement on last season & new found desire of some of the players is on the back of the new assistants & has very little to do with the head coach. The transition has begun & it’s inevitable we have a new coach next season. Rats undertaking a wor...

Re: Rozee and Bailey Smith
Our head recruiter (Liberatore) wanted Rozee. He was overruled by Lethlean Can I ask how you know this? Every Welshman knows this. So not true then No, not true, unless there is a source provided, so it's a no at this point. It was reported on multiple occasions that Libba wanted Rozee but was overr...

Re: Max King to play VFL in 2-3 weeks?
Good ol’ St Kilda, loves a ‘project player’! How many players from the last 3 national drafts are locked in our best 22? Battle? Maybe Parker? Who needs players that come straight in and make an impact, having to wait 3 or 4 years makes it much more rewarding! Clark has been stiff & Coff...

Re: Max King to play VFL in 2-3 weeks?
How does his brother compare to him? Very similar. They look similar but are very different type of players. Ben is a defender first & as a forward is a traditional lead up forward. Max played as a tall midfielder before moving into the forward line. He’s very agile, takes hangers & as a gr...

Re: Max King to play VFL in 2-3 weeks?
I reckon we all need to temper our expectations right down. The kid is coming back from an ACL, has never played against men before, let alone against men the standard of VFL. His brother, who is of similar dimensions and talent hasn't made any sort of impact as yet in the GC. May take 2-3 years be...

Re: McCartin
If Bruce or Membrey go down Battle can go forward with White taking his role in the backline o White is 188 and Battle 193. Battle has been more playing CHB, and White is more a flanker. So if Battle goes forward I think it would be either Joyce 194 or Marsh 194. Both of these guys are quick and mo...

Someone must have the photo. All the media keep talking about the photo. Who has it? Either link on here or PM please. Apparently it is a fkn nightmare. Was just listening to SEN and they raised a fair point regarding Geary and the possible way to counteract his absence. Roberton, Carlisle, Geary a...

Re: McCartin
Agree with both of you regarding Paddy’s pre season fitness being improved. But I still think he was a long way off it. He still didn’t look like an elite sportsman. In today’s footy, forwards need to rack up the miles constantly going forwards & back. Perhaps his best position could’ve been sit...

Re: McCartin
Sadly I don’t think he suits our manic style & is not best 22. No room for dinosaurs such as Paddy & Longer in today’s footy. Also interesting that Dunstan, a slow one pace midfielder, is also out of favour. Anyway, I just hope Paddy has no further issues with his longterm health.

Re: Who starts as our Ruckman?
Marshall comes from a rugby background hence the intensity & physicality he plays with. He also learnt his afl trade playing as a midfielder hence his clearance work & running capacity. Also worth noting that he’s 23.5 so he’s got a mature frame. I reckon he’s less likely to break down than ...

Last week Freo played McCarthy, Hogan, Taberner, Lobb & Darcy. Brown to Lobb or Taberner.terry smith rules wrote: ↑Wed 03 Apr 2019 7:47pm I am wondering if there is a good match up for Brown
Not dropping him on form as he is our key back, but McCarthy is a runner and Hogan would also run off him

He has a good public image. Nothing about him is controversial. Safe. Good bloke. Etc. I think he means football wise. I couldn’t think of any. And I would hazard a guess and say you don't have fox footy I have fox footy. I was close to cancelling it when our coach was a regular guest.
