Re: Match Thread Saints v Dockers Round 2 2022

I can't believe I'm hoping for an injury so that we can get Sharman on - desperately need someone that can take a grab and snag a goal..

Re: Changes for next week

I'm going to have a second go at this, I decided that we need to inject some class into the midfield:-

IN - Sharman, Highmore, Wanganeen-Milera, Bytel
OUT - Kent, Owens, Byrnes, Battle

Re: Changes for next week

Highmore down back obviously, Battle needs to go forward
This assumes Ryder/Jones not available

Re: John Bonney RIP

I endorse all the positive comments about John. Terrific player. Also for a time during one of his stints with the Saints he ran a milk bar in Were St , Brighton Always had time for a chat about the footy. A real gentleman. Vale . Was that milk bar in the group of shops where Brighton Grocer is?

I wouldn't be unhappy if we took Matthew Johnson - tall inside/outside mid who oozes class (think Pendlebury) - WA boy so go home factor could be a worry but I think he definitely fills a need for us

Milne was a freak and in the end didn't get the adulation he really deserved because of that unfortunate saga....I'll go with the stats and agree that he was definitely the better player with a significantly better goals per game average. Small forwards after all are paid to kick goals..

Then do nothing. Combined with pre-match meditating, the cuddle toom where players hug each other and tell each other they'e got their backs, and the synchronised breathing perfomative art, I say the club is in the thrall of new age snake oil salesmen.
