Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
He's a cross between Trent McKenzie and James Sicily but he is taller than both of them...I'd play him as a defender (where he's cut his teeth and played his best in u18). https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/38783384/afl-draft-tasmania-arie-schoenmaker-first-round-calculations-difficult-year htt...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
He was not known for his leg speed in U18 football. Perhaps timing and peripheral awareness would be a better use of words. Clearly, he is able to get around the play and take hand off and uncontested possession, and kicks the ball very well in full flight being chased down. At 194cm and 90kg, he m...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
I think he has been given an opportunity to do extra's and get a shot. Punishment is not on Lyons list of strategies. He will just wipe you. Zac Dawson was given similar opportunities and did the work, focussed on his defence and was given a shot in his second season with the club. This kid was top ...

Re: “Get up, get up. We don’t f***ing do that here”
You don't have to get faster, you just have to get fitter. We don't do that here is a statement about expectations on effort and composure. We have lacked both for a while. The effort has been obvious and was there, but the composure has been lacking poorly. If you give into it on the track, it will...

Re: Calling Saints Mega Fans - Trivia Competition at hand
Thank you so much for sharing CQ. I enjoyed the history with a bit of sadness that it went down the way it did I think his kids were quite happy with the outcome and he moved down to Flinders and lived his life out there mate. Progress waits for no one. My cousins are still living in the area today.

Re: Calling Saints Mega Fans - Trivia Competition at hand
Hey Skeptic. I'd like to through up some controversy about the Alpaca paddock that has a very personal story. My dads great great Grand mother was born across the road from St.Kilda Park Primary and her dad owned a fair bit of St.Kilda prior to the St.Kilda Cricket Ground being allocated 8 acres of ...

Re: Who is the most power weilding person at a footy club and why.?
Serious hypothetical What if Donald Trump - seriously people, please consider this - what if Donald Trump offered to run St Kilda Footy club? Would you accept? Let's say his lawyers quickly got connected and keyed into the mechanics of the deal. They read the cosnstitution and know they need to for...

Re: Calling Saints Mega Fans - Trivia Competition at hand
CQ Saint and Dave McNamara, thank you both for playing. I won’t tally the scores yet but from a cursory glance, I think CQ over took Vort but in all likelihood, me thinks Dave is the likely front runner at this stage. Plenty of room for improvement. Couple of questions on the board yet to be answer...

Re: Calling Saints Mega Fans - Trivia Competition at hand
Hi everyone… I threw together a Saints trivia challenge to help pass the time. The winner shall be decreed by me… as the knowingness know-it-all of the forum and on one occasion, can use their title/authority to categorically end a debate with their view. Here are the rules… and the first one is th...

Re: Will Olli Hotton be the real deal??
Watching the highlights and videos of that draft… if the crop that we got, Hotton was actually my early tip for top of the heap. I thought he locked fantastic and looked to have that extra it factor that comes with composure and smart decision making. Then unfortunately he got injured and despite s...

Re: DFC
I'm guessing you didn't know that it attracted more than $20m in funding including over $15m funding from state and federal government, so we can train there. Without the DFC, that wouldn't have happened. Your inane questions and petulant repetitions of the same questions is very amusing. Perhaps y...

Re: Will Olli Hotton be the real deal??
From the training reports, Garcia and Wilson are already ahead of him. But that could just be first year hype, and it's only training. Played some very good VFL games last year when played in the midfield instead of half forward or half back. For some reason we are blooding our young players throug...

Re: DFC
The club has done the hard yards taking a stand on Racism, Equity and Inclusion and now is positioned extremely strongly, through the DFC, to be a clear leader in the sports industry in brain research. Considering Peter Jess' proposal put forward to the AFLPA to recommend, collect and distribute a $...

Re: DFC
Does that financial statement suggest the DFC is a St Kilda Football Club asset? If the DFC is our assett does that mean it is also an "entity" controlled by St Kilda football club? Sanctorum wrote: DFC, unlike the club's board and admin, is not part of St Kilda FC, it's a separate entity...

https://www.stkbusiness.com.au/about-us That might clear up any confusion about who controls the Danny Frawley Centre. As for the onfield success, we haven't had any since 1966. I'm old enough and black enough to remember being called a coon my whole junior career. 80 - 85. I remember the violence that erupted one day, when my Anglo dad headed towards a car and spoke to one particular bloke who drove his car from end to end of our game to put me off with racists slurs befo...

Re: Simon Lethlean finished at St. Kilda effective immediately?
Lethlean was in the recruiting department- list management? I did not know that?? Yeah he was told to keep his focus as CEO off the football department and his yes men were all told to seek employment elsewhere. He was an influence as General Manager of Football and COO, naive to consider otherwise.

Re: Will Keeler be the real deal??
No I would not consider the last 3 years a rebuild Have we bottomed out Have we offloaded to secure high end picks Have we secured multiple first round selections It’s just a continual list build with natural attrition I guess the equalisation strategies have nothing to do with your 1990's version ...

Probably going to set up some state development initiatives with Hawthorn's treasure chest, now it's clear they won't be at there new 'excrete, smells like a fart' training centre/community hub, anytime soon. Ours is powered by AIA Vitality, there's will be powered by methane. Maybe we can lease the...
