Season defining game. Pick best 22 so add Dmac and Steele.
We have blooded some kids who all look promising, but all are no at the level- yet. Send them back to VFL to accumulate 30+ and hone their craft.

Re: Current Forward Set Ups across the AFL
Problem with Sharman is that he just isn't that good. His VFL form is meh. I think he gets overated mainly due to his game against Geelong, where they paid him no respect and let him run around without an opponent. He's a nice kick and can take a mark, but if he can't dominate consistently at VFL le...

Re: Belief as supporters
Any AFL team can look good with no pressure. Look what happened when we dialled it up in the third. Talent wise, i think we are a good bottom of the 8 side, but collectively something not right above the shoulders. If we bring the heat, we can match it with most My 1st live game since 2010 gf .im 5...

Also noticed Ross in the 3/4 time huddle was one of very few that were vocal and trying to lift a group with heads down. He adds a bit more to the group than just his own game.

Both need a break. Roma not right and Paddy was never going to be able to play much more than half the rounds.

Re: Gresham
Clark had 13 disposals .....missing for huge stret he's of the game. Something wrong with his head, looks limp and slow. Why are we hammering Gresh, who at least had a crack and kicked 3 goals Clark was ok early, very good in tight, but can't/won't run and won't defend. Doesn't look AFL fit, but if...

Re: Gresham
He had a game of contrasts. In the first half he tried to to do it all himself rather than give it off to a player in a better position. It resulted in atleast 8 unnecessary turnovers and burnt team mates. He reminds me of the star Auskick kid that hogs the ball . Can't understand anyone that went t...

Re: Brad Hill
Interesting point by Nick on the coach.
The 3 weeks prior to the Brisbane game, Hill basically played 100% off half back. Against Lions , just 35%.
Maybe that had a bit to do with his numbers

reports in the media Hill and a couple of others were effected by the flu. incredibly proud of how the team went about it last night, we pushed a team that most likely will be this years premiers on their deck with a team of no names that was down to zero rotations towards the end of the game when ...

Ratten and his coaches were like rabbits in a spot light last night, they affected nothing and were terrible. For gods sake Ratts get Rath the f..k out of the coaching box. The guy is a sport analysts he has no back ground in coaching. Ratt's you failed another test against a top 4 side! There are ...

Re: The balance of youth
Sharman, Windhager, Owens, NWM and Heath have me very excited that there will be a strong support for our Max King era of domination. Also feel Byrnes, Connelly and Bytel will all make it too. I fear Bytel may look for more opportunities at seasons end I don't think Bytel is going to make it at the...

Cameron, Rich, Neale. They win the games for them? Zorko out of sorts, keep it up Dane. Andrews seems to be carrying an injury. Brisbane will be fired up with Fagan giving it too them from Perth to Woolloongabba. But they lack team speed, do they not? Can't yell that into legs. We will have to be a...

Re: McKenzie reward for persistence
I bagged DMac relentlessly. I eat my words. His disposal used to be cringeworthy. He has improved a lot. He is one of those warrior types who are the heart and soul of the team. Amazing how some can be coached and improved. Disposal wasn't the problem. Decision making under pressure was. Play him i...

Daniel McKenzie was our third selection with pick No. 22 in the 2014 National Draft. Hugh Goddard was our second selection at No 21, and we wasted Pick No 1. Jack Steele went to GWS at pick 24. Our first goal today was as good as you would ever see and displayed Daniel's strength - strength. He is ...

Why omit Sharman good forward decoy and has kicked goals the last weeks when needed. Oh can also take a good grab. Long applies hardness at the contest some great hard tackles today which hurt his opponent the bump on McDonald was what i like to see from a small forward. If i was to make a change i...

Why the f--k do we play 2 teams we haven't played yet twice in the next 11 games but we don't play Collinwood again after playing them in round 1 & we play Freo twice before we play the Eagle once. Just a crazy fu--ed up piece of sh-t IMO The AFL are in the entertainment business. It has nothin...

Re: The World vs North Melbourne vs St Kilda
We've only beaten North once in the last five years , in all those games We've gone into them equal or favoured to win so I expect it to be a hard game Wow, that is a worrying stat No Cunnington is a bonus, he normally rips us a new one. Btw, I think he is Ufa at years end. Is he worth a year or tw...

Re: Sharman's goal in the last Q
I’m not being harsh. Sharman clearly has a lot of potential, but we are not currently in a team development phase: we are trying to win enough games to make the finals and perhaps the top 4. In this scenario, we need to pick our best available team every week, having some regard for team balance an...

Re: VFL R9 Carlton v Sandy
So Bytel beaten .... had no impact .... yet had 26 possessions and 8 tackles Where did he get his possessions? Surely must have had some impact Most were inclose and scrappy, he simply doesnt have the tools to give himself room to use the ball cleanly. Carlton via Dow, Williamson etc just marched o...

Re: Changes v North
I know this is not like for like but Highmore in for NWM. He is killing it in the VFL so I believe should be rewarded. He could take Paton's spot and Paton can go to the wing. Paton 186cm and Highmore 193cm. The other change I would make is Clark 186cm for Windy 185cm. You might be on to something....
