Re: Jake Lever
While Lever would be a handy acquisition he plays a very similar role to Carlisle and Roberton - what we need down back is a reliable bull full back to replace Brown - yes we have Goddard in the wings but he is pretty much well untested and injury prone for that matter So Lever to me would be more ...

Re: Longer!!!!!
Stick to what you know!!!!! you are right - lets stick to facts 1/3 of Billys possessions came from Gawn free kicks seeing how you are all over things ruck just wondering what you thought of the infringements? and Gawns' statement he gave up on contesting the ruck dual to avoid being constantly pen...

Re: Predictions for 2018 - risk your credibility?
Ok, My predictions (with the aid of a few rumours circulating): Whitfield, unhappy with his treatment last year reached an in principle agreement to move to the saints during last years trade period Kelly, who wasnt really going anywhere, finds out he is worth big bucks and if he is to move, would l...

Re: Longer!!!!!
Gawn had 8 kicks, 8 handballs, took 5 marks and kicked 1.1 (from marks in the forward line)- and gave away a number of free kicks in the ruck merry go around Gawn playing for St Kilda and St Kilda win May I remind you that prior to this season we have beaten Melbourne time in memorial - and this se...

Re: Predictions for 2018 - risk your credibility?
Post-Riewoldt it opens up a lot of space for growth and I expect a lot of young players to really step up - Gresham, Acres, Sinclair, Steele, Dunstan. Hopefully Paddy can have a bit of luck and string together some games. I think we should aim to win a final and that this is not setting the bar too...

Re: 2018- Heaven or Hell?
With Roo out last week not putting another tall forward in to the line up and going only with Bruce (and Membrey as a tallish forward) was ridiculous. With McCartin out Marshall or Battle should have played for structure purposes as we missed that extra tall target. Suspect the plan was to play Car...

Re: 2018- Heaven or Hell?
I expect if we stay on course with the master plan, we will play in a prelim in 2018, 2019 and 2020
The next draft period is crucial though, just need to land the top end talent in the midfield

Re: The good news
With all due respect - Longer is not sensational. He's just not as deplorable as everyone thought he would be. Nothing more. That's not intended as a whack on him either. I think it's more of an indication of where the fans are at in terms of their desperation to be honest. The reason we were slaug...

Re: Need a massive OFF SEASON
If we dont get the following players the whole board coaches and admin should be sacked. We have enough cash and picks and should sell moorabin - GOLDSTEIN: cheap and still best ruck in league. - KELLY: must get - WHITFIELD: class cheap even at $700k - LEVER: The next rance. MINIMUM. Also need to o...

More Credit for Billy tonight, all be it from a couple of hacks in Gawn and Mumford, but hey, what would they know about Ruckwork????? Just a little bit of food for thought for all you ruck experts!!!!! Gawn is actually a "pretty" good Rickman for a 25 yr old He touched the ball 19 times ...

Re: Billy Cost Us The Game
So detailing season statics is "raining hate" And gazing into some mystical zone that says we will compete in 2019/2020 is an abject nonsense As in most things in life, it is a competition and the way you achieve the desired outcome is to compete at every opportunity including by maximisi...

Billy played well against the Eagles. So did Jack Billings. So did Shane Savage. So did Luke Dunstan. Four much-maligned players who have kept their heads up and are coming good! Rather than take pot shots at other posters, I find it a good opportunity for us ALL to celebrate! Not taking pot shots,...

If folk want to see Kelly, Whitfield ....( and Lever ?!?! ) at the club next season, then we are going to need to realise it is going to cost us! Personally, IF these guys are going to make the big difference, then it's a "no brainer" in my humble opinion. If the likes of Kelly and Whitfi...
