Re: GWS to get pick 1
I think the issue we must not forget, even if Petracca is as good as Judd, is that gun key forwards do not grow on trees. Gun key forwards are awesome so long as the ball comes down with enough quality and often enough. Prime example is Sydney yesterday. A forward line of Franklin, Tippett and Good...

it could only involve Boyd.Old Mate wrote:Petracca has totally dominated TAC Cup footy for two years which includes his year as an under-ager. He's a ready to go power mid of the Boak & Dangerfield variety. It will take a seriously good offer to trade the rights to pick 1.

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion
That's the spirit. Fair trade that would suit both clubs... Why should it be a fair trade? there is a reason the #1 pick has been trade once in 15 years, it is because it is the golden ticket. f*** fair. They offer overs or we keep #1 and take Petracca Or we tell them we are gunna offer #1 for Dange...

Re: GWS to get pick 1
Essentially what we would be losing is the player deemed as the next Chris Judd, remember that If he is that good then its not worth trading him for anything. Literally Cameron + 4 is not worth a Judd level player IMO.. So it comes down to is Patracca really the next Judd, or do we see him as reali...

Re: Good luck to The Big Boy
What was it we got for him? That's right Pick 18 (Dunstan), Pick 19 (Acres) & Savage. Well done to Pelchen & his team.

Re: Saints to trade with the swines?
Rumour I heard this morning about the swines wanting to trade for the number 1 pick. Seems they are very keen on Petracca and are willing to be generous in their dealings. The initial offer would be Sam Reid and Tom Mitchell. I don't know that I'd take that. I think Petracca could be the goal kicki...

Re: Saints win on McEvoy Trade - Afl.com
AFL.com talking us up lately. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-08-10/saints-win-on-mcevoy-trade Der. That was always the case, even when many doubted. We traded a ruckman, who moved at glacial speed and was last in the league for 'hit outs to advantage' 2 years running, for Luke Dunstan, Blake Acres...

Re: Trading Rhys to Adelaide
I tend to think no-one would pay much for Rhys Stanley. That said, Adelaide just cut McKernan and Angus Graham, two big guys who can play ruck/forward. That leaves them with Jacobs as their sole ruckman. He's barely missed a game in four years so I suppose that might be enough for them but it doesn...

Murdoch will be a gun.saintspremiers wrote:Saunders and Murdoch aren't much chop as yet. In fact, I reckon Murdoch won't make it. Saunders may but I'm unsure
As for the others, no guns as yet.
Who's to say had we drafted pick 12 and 13 that they'd be guns?

Re: Melbourne Tanking
I'm not one to rejoice in another club's woes, but after all the hype regarding the " super coach " recruitment, etc pre-season, I'm even more positive about the direction OUR club is going in! I'd rather be a Saints supporter than a Melbourne, Richmond or Carlton supporter at the moment.
