Re: The Pelican being looked at by Carlscum
He made a promise to Jeans on his death bed. Would be very disappointed if he walked away from that. That promise was very strange. He wasn't even employed by us. Wouldn't trust him with my mother in law but hope Im wrong. i would hope he doesn't use anything earlier than a third round pick for her...

Re: signing #7 Acres to 2018
Thought a two year contract would have been a safer bet, they must have seen something that I havent.
Looking forward to seeing him rip it up next season.

Re: Come Home Luke Ball - all is forgiven ?
I think he played his best football at the Saints in his early years but he seems to be very comfortable with his decision to move to Collingwood. He is very lucky to have a premiership and will probably be remembered as a Collingwood premiership player than a bloke who played a few seasons for the ...

Re: dal was a huge loss
Never been a fan of these types of trades and never will. Make no mistake, we have a history of doing this type of thing. It seems short sighted, undermines our future integrity and it is as short sighted as our drafting which got us in this position. Yes we may get up the ladder a little quicker in...

He just missed out on being the ruckman in our premiership year. A champion sportsman and the reason I am a saints supporter. I'll let you do the detective work.gringo wrote:Who was your uncle?

When your only satisfaction is knowing that Essendon and Collingwood are in more strife than we are.

Funny you should bring up Chad Davis. That's another story for another day.
Won't bring up the Temays again, let's let fate take its course.

Fair call. Couple of games between the two of them.
I was talking about any Father-sons that have been successful at St Kilda.

Why don't we just get a bloke called Nick Winmar? What a story that would be! Oh, what Nah Bull! Father-son... Massively different from nephew with same name as the nickname of the uncle. If you want create a culture, you need to start somewhere. When was the last father son at St Kilda? Do we need...

Re: Pierce Signs Extension..
Most ruckmen don't start having an effect until they are 25+, completely different to the development of a mid fielder. Thats why we got "so much" for the McEvoy trade because recruiters know how long it takes to develop good ruckmen. We haven't had a quality young ruckman since Spida. I d...

Re: Any interesting discards?
I have a contact who knows the Temay family and he said they were pretty devastated when he wasn't picked up by the Saints. Maybe his heart wasn't in it down at the Blues and god only knows we need some more heart and soul players down at the club. The bottom line is though he needs to bulk up a bit...
