Re: Rd 4 team vs Pies
I remember watching probably his first game for the club in a vfl scratch match in Frankston and looked terrific on the forward flank out positioning and just out playing his opponent reading the play, he was brilliant kicked three or four goals on the run. Above I actually meant to say further for...

Re: Paddy Thread #982019 (fluff)
Hope he sheds some fat, adds some strength, leans up and improves his running And kicks 60-80 for the next 8 Year some this, He's actually looking pretty skinny in his upper body, but fairly chunky in the legs/glutes. He weighs less than bruce though. I'd like him to be a little heavier but with le...

Re: Rd 4 team vs Pies
Surely it will be a squad of 25 today for Sunday's match. The player gets told at training you are in. The parents get told come to game as our guests to see your boy's first senior appearance. It is exceptionally rare for a player to debut on a late decision. Not another thread about Paddy! he nee...

Paddy Thread #982019 (fluff)
Just thought we should have another paddy thread on the main board. But seriously, I've had a bit of time this week and been doing a lot of hard thinking, trying to figure out a way to unleash the potential in this maverick - and I've figured it out. Paddy needs to grow his beard. Hear me out. Josh ...

Re: Should be on notice IMO
I'd say on notice is/should be: Bruce - Missing too many shots, not providing enough in the ruck - Marshall again There's some really dumb stuff in this thread, but this wins. lol, if you can't give a player that's not at or near his best a rocket then what can you do but you're right, bruce on not...

Re: Should be on notice IMO
Changes to blood kids should be looked at once the club concedes we are not going to make it. Otherwise it should be the best we have every week up until that point. Well we are giving Paddy a game most weeks on the basis of giving him experience even though he is not really contributing to the per...

Re: Should be on notice IMO
I'd say on notice is/should be: Savage - not damaging enough - Bailey Rice/Mckenzie/White Lonie/Weller - Playing ok enough for now but Long is in the wings threatening pressure and goal kicking ability McCartin - Marshall.. in the long run Battle Bruce - Missing too many shots, not providing enough ...

Lifts his team.
Gilbo is INSIPID and deflates the team.
I invite you to spot the difference.

Re: Gilbo
half way through it, playing like a man possessed. there's a passage seconds prior to geary being pinged for deliberate out of bounds (kinda dived over the line with it), west coast are trying to run the ball out of their back half, gilbert flies in and lays a really strong tackle, west coast player...

Re: Billings
Billings has a much better field kick - as much due to decision making as technique - than higgins. Think that's more important than the 1 goal a game gap between them. Billings aside, both bont and oliver, arguably the best picks to come out of the last two drafts, were bolters. Maybe we should be ...

Re: Paddy
We all want Paddy to be a superstar and prove many of us (me included) wrong, but just what was it that made our recruiters think that he was so exceptional that he was worth using the number one pick for? He is only 194cm. Riewoldt is 193 but is an elite athlete. Boyd is 200cm, Lynch 199, Hawkins ...

sorry just felt like trying out a different posting style.
It didn't feel good
I'm glad I can actually enjoy footy.
Great effort by the boys, it would be nice to win those ones but the signs are good, and they've bought into the gameplan, which I worried about after last week.

Re: Aftermath
Tony, They are expected to give 100% Why would that be in question? Do they ever not?? These guys get paid from 90-700k to play footy, they train for 10 months a year, 3-5 days a week. They are elite athletes, they are coached by elite coaches. They played well, yes! But to say they gave 100% is fo...

Re: Billings
people wanting billings to be a bont type physical leader, it's not going to happen, he's the cream and he's sitting atop a half baked cake. He's just going to get better. This team might not have any massive stars, but I don't mind if we play together and to our strengths. I enjoy a good even perfo...
