Re: Saad b sample positive

Both samples tested positive, fact. Black and white. Naivety is no excuse. Lance, Tyson Gay, Sam Reilly, Ahmed Saad, Jobe Watson, Carl Lewis, RN, Thorpedo... All the same. By the way, I have nothing to complain about in my world, it is as good as you imagine. He deserves two years. Yeh right  ...

Re: Saad b sample positive

Possibly, that'll be sorted in time. My thoughts re doping do not change whether it is one of our players or someone elses. He took a banned substance therefore should see the ban. He has no excuse at all.

He is allowed to be listed, but who would want a fringe player from the 3rd worst side in the comp? He'd just be sitting on their list taking up a spot and $

That isn't a big issue at all, small in comparison to your naivety to think even .5% of drug cheats test positive

Re: Daniel Markworth

A bit more of a work ethic is probably costing him more than dual positions I think Siposs is also the victim of some fairly inconsistent coaching drafted as a forward, trained as a forward, played early as a promising forward then suddenly becomes a BJ replacement, moves to HBF, plays irratically -...

Patton is more talented than those 4 combined.

It isn't just our club, four clubs have been mentioned this year alone. And I have absolutely no doubt every club would have some type of issue.

Re: Saints in the paper again!

That is not really true, the Olympic medalist usually get rolled on a retest of old blood/urine samples. The AFL's blood passport would b so insignificant that it won't be able to determine a pattern. It is PR speak. id say for now theres a diff depending on whether its been sent off to have its sec...

Re: Saints in the paper again!

Some pretty naive points of view in this thread. PED use would be almost infinitely higher than the AFL or it's fans would want to recognise. There is no reason for the sport to be any different to others. The temptation for glory and riches is always strong and the game is perfect for PEDs. Now, pl...

Re: Rhys on the table

Absolute best case scenario you'd get a pick in the 50s for either of them. In all seriousness though, what do people actually expect we'd get in return for the likes of a Stanley or a Siposs? Is this 'perceived potential' everyone's banging on about purely just our twisted perception? Who actually ...

Re: Macca trade

Macca isn't elite as a ruckman, at least not in the tap out side of the ruck duel. He is very good for his size around the ground though. Not saying I'd give him away for pick 27, for pick one, yep! The club has to exhaust every avenue to become a better side. If that means they trade Macca, then so...

Very true, everyone has their price. Some prices are extremely extremely expensive though. I believe you're on the mark here. Looking very good in the Foxtel Cup. Obviously had some mental health issues whilst at Hawthorn,
mail is he has turned his life around and doing well these days. Still very young and looks a player
who would fit into our needed age bracket well.
Thoughts?
