Re: A wasted opportunity

It can't always be the coaching style. How many games this year we've dominated inside 50s and failed to score or been inaccurate. We can't capitalise at crucial moments when scoreboard pressure is important.

Re: I may be imagining it

It will never be a people club thing because its run as a business. If it was that simple every club would be hiring all their ex players into the administrative roles. The cattle on the park is what counts and we just don't have it.

Rob Harvey will never make a senior coach. Great player but that's where it ends.

Fortunate to see 90 per cent of his games and personally don't believe there has been anyone like him at St Kilda. Played for the jumper even when injured and more often than not gave away height and weight but it seemed to motivate him to try harder something i don't believe the overpayed kids of t...

Re: Saints team for round one

Back line way too short and better hope midfield don't let the Suns go forward with clean feet as Two Metre Peter could end up being the difference whether its a one on one or outmarking Joyce.

I thought his debut game last year was good but seems to have fallen by the way side. Draw comparison to Port Adelaide's Darcy Byrne Jones who really took two to three years to develop and now is probably in their best 22. He'll come good.

Re: Saints join race for Murdoch - ex Cat

106 games in six years at a club that has been one of the mainstays of the competition, don't think would be such a bad pick up. Nice size with strong body could help whilst some of the younger blokes build.

Went pick 20 in the same draft as De goey where we took Paddy Mc. Same size as De goey but injury prone. If he could get fit would worth a spot.

do we really want to hand Harves a certain s*** sandwich ? he can live comfortably, you would think, fo the next 10 years of his life, just playing an upper "in the system" low key hands on assistant and pretty much be set for the rest of his life, in semi retired comfort Or he could be s...

If rule changes come about where you you have 6 v 6 sides would be factoring some of that into their drafting.

Re: Breaking: Polec offered 800k at 5 years

You pay top dollar for guys you can build a side around or can win you a flag. Polec is a good player but a tad overrated. If you went after Polec his skills would need to be complimented by the players around him which at the moment we don't really have. He can get caught out as he has no right sid...

Well done Sam. A true Saint with a big heart. Always prepared to do the team things regardless of who you played on ( most of the time blokes way bigger ). Good Luck for whatever you decide to do.

Don't forget Wow Jones, Spiro Kourkemelous and Alex Marcou all came at the end of the Baldock era which was built on by Kenny. We became more competitive.

As Richo keeps saying " We are working hard on the track ( Obviously on our poor kicking ) and "We need to become more consistent" ( Yes consistently poor ) I'm over it, followed the club for over fifty years and i can't recall having so many players in the one side who can't execute ...

Re: Dal Santo on attack as Saints make a stand

I think Richo complicates everything and there are times the players are all out of position meaning they really don't understand or feel constrained by what they had to do. He mentioned this on a couple of occasions last season about taking the game on not playing for survival and protection. At th...
