Going Forward to the next couple of years.
If we are serious about rebuilding who thinks that the man under the most pressure would be the Pelican ( Chris Pelchan ).

Re: GWILT out forever....
How many worst on grounds can this guy put in before he is dropped forever? As many as Richo thinks in the hope of stopping our current bleeding. With all due respect i have doubted some of Richo's decisions and at the moment i don't think that having most of our older senior players playing is hel...

Re: Match thread v Blues
I have yet to see anything from anyone at the club that suggests we are rebuilding especially today. It appears to me that everyone is going to hang their hat on getting all these draft picks which don't necessarily become champions overnight. Effort, commitment and a will to not accept mediocrity d...

Re: Another one bites the dust - Webster's season over
Surely either Wright or Roberton would replace Webster as Siposs is just too slow to play in that role. His disposal is probably better than most but would much rather someone to take the game on with a bit of run.

Re: What Roo needs.
Agree , but also its his selfless running that should be setting other players up by the space he creates when he works up the ground. I don't know if they lack confidence or just don't know where to go when he's not in the 50 metre arch.Movement creates movement and sometimes just leading allows so...

Re: jon anderson's top 20 draft picks..and now emma's
Oldie60, I read somewhere that Paul Ahearn is indigenous. He does not look it. Do you know if he is or not? Great little player. Love to have him at the Saints. Yes, Mum is indigenous and dad is anglo. Really great people and of high morals. As i said Paul has played heaps of basketball combining r...

Re: Playing the tall timber
I know we are a young side miles away from the elite but given that the season is pretty much done would it really hurt trying something different to see which players can challenge themselves in different roles. We have nothing to lose and the youngsters can only benefit from this. Eg: give the you...

Re: jon anderson's top 20 draft picks..and now emma's
I've watched Paul Ahern growing up and he has a touch of the Chad Wingard about him. Played basketball since very young age playing rep and excelled at athletics and of more recent times football. Probably a good pick up from 40 onwards. Great kid from a fantastic family.Watch him.

Re: jon anderson's top 20 draft picks
After watching both games yersterday, all the top 20 and phantom drafts are obsolete. Disappointed in so many of the top kids. I thought the tiny S.A. captain was brilliant. Also that the new Garlett kid was by far the best of the indigenous boys on offer, unless Paul Ahern is indigenous. The S.A> ...

Re: Gia takes out someone else
He'll probably get off due to the stupid method they assess the act. Player got up finished game, his so called good record, and the simple fact depends how they interpret the damn rule from week to week as they change it to save face. Its plain and simple? Its apparent that they still can't decifer...

I played in a couple of premierships and transferred to the Saints mid 80's and did my knee in a practice match never to play a game with the club.

Those were the days when the wooden spoon was a given for most years but would not have missed it for quids.I remember starting my first job and used to have to work overtime on a Saturday and i would tell the boss i'd be there and would never show up because i had to go and watch my beloved Saints....

Re: Mediocre Players with Cult Status
During our lean years we'd get excited by the slightest glimmer of hope.Players like Dean Herbert from Richmond with big reputation but no interest, Allan Sinclair from Fitzroy,John Blair from South Melbourne and the one that springs to mind the much hyped transfer of Dave Grainger from Port Adelaid...

Do any of our players read these forums.
Its great to have a place where the Saints supporters can voice opinions and give candid views on player performance or ability but do we think any of this get looked at by players/officials just to get an idea.Interesting thought.

I think Joey may not be 100% as a couple of weeks ago on Channel 7 he was asked what he was doing getting some scans done at the same time they were reporting about Brown from Collingwood who was getting his shoulder done.I think we are reading too much into this.
