Re: This can be a positive..
Put Kosi down back. He starred there when he was a youngster. He has the strength and leaping ability to match it with big fellas like Cloke. He goes missing too much in the forward line. In the back line he'll be accountable.

Re: I was wrong about Jack Steven
He wasn't on his pat malone in decision-making, or delivery. What were Kosi's stats? How many limp-wristed attacks on the football did Gram make? How slow is Saad in getting rid of the ball? How tall are our key defenders? For a team that made heaps of mistakes and were killed by umpiring decisions ...

Re: Gram - Credit where it is due
Don Pyke was on the fringes, an outside receiver at Claremont and West Coast, much as Gram is at the Saints. A bloke called Malthouse installed some grunt into him and he became hard at the ball and tackling and an outstanding premiership player. Gram has the skill. He just doesn't possess the hard ...

Fraser Riewoldt
Has anyone else noticed how Riewoldt has modelled his playing style on Gehrig's? He spends a lot of the time trying to out-muscle his opponent. The problem is he doesn't have the strength to match it with 2 or 3 opposition players (let alone one). He used to be brilliant on the lead and flying over ...

Some discussion points
1. Is Rooey able to play anywhere other than the forward line? Jeans, the master coach, continually kept the opposition guessing. He'd play Cowboy at either end of the ground depending on circumstances. Barry Lawrence was brilliant as a defender, or forward. He rejuvenated Bob Murray's career by swi...

Re: Gram
Gram has the potential to break the games record at the club. He fails to chase and finger points at others to do so. He never puts his body on the line. He doesn't attack the opposition ball carrier. The only time he tackles is when he's second or third person in, or an opponent falls into his arms...

!966. I was 12 years old, sitting in the old Richmond members' stand at the grand final on a glorious sunny day. I was about 20 metres away from where Barry Breen wobbled his awkward punt around the behind post. The next thing I knew, Tuddenham had taken the ball from the kick-in and was hurtling do...

Simon McPhee is a brilliant acquisition. He's a wonderful young man. A product of Wembley amateur FC here in WA, he was an excellent player who took on the job of coaching the A grade team, bonded the players and took them finals' success. He was appointed coach of the thirds at Claremont and once a...

He had a blinder of a year playing for South Fremantle a couple of years ago in their premiership year, but can be ordinary. He's a strong mark, good on the lead, sharp in front of goal and can kick a country mile. He's built for AFL.... ......BUT...he'd need to develop some intensity and aggression...
