This is his thrid year as a rookie. Basically missed half his first year with a shoulder injury.

Jackson Ferg's first pre-season he was told to eat anything and everything to put on weight. This pre-season he has been told to be strict with his diet. Don't know if that is to do with him as an individual or a change of regime has changed the training / dietary protocols for the club as a whole.

Jackson wasn't sure about next year until recently, so I don't think it is guaranteed, although he was pretty certain, given the whole surgery/full pre-season thing.

I don't think Jacko is ready to settle down just yet. 18yo Aussie Rules player in Melbourne probably doesn't lack female companionship! Maybe the brother / sister dynamic may change as he's moving to his own flat soon.
