Re: Watters' position is now untenable
A guy who's 6' 5"and who is prepared to play all 38 players each week (even though that will lead to some huge fines and loss of points) but still go to all the Sandy games (even though we'll only have Rookies playing, and even they will be in the Sandy Development Squad) and talk to all the S...

Re: Watters' position is now untenable
The moment the players organised dwarfs at Mad Monday Watters position was untenable. For those smart enough to realize who the dwarfs were representative of shows how the coach is viewed by the playing group. We need to bite the bullet now and change things before 2014 becomes a waste of time. Jax...

Re: Watters contract extension discussion
Ironically Port Adelaide were on the cusp with Choco for about three years. The president wanted his head and he was out the door by all reports then he won them the premiership and they forgave all. Hopefully one day Watters will get to do something like this in Mark Fine's direction http://i1080....

Re: Watters contract extension discussion
I reckon at any club which has only 4 wins there will be a vigorous discussion at Board level about sacking the coach at years end. Since ever ...even at local footy. Standard stuff. I agree, although this has the added complexity of an internal power tug of war. Then again, that's pretty much loca...

Re: Watters contract extension discussion
Unfortunately Caro's view will now lead the press for the next days. Pity help us trying to keep a lid on it now. Clearly this is where Fine et al thought the bomb would drop. Except that it didn't. Not quite. Pray to the CEO gods that we can persuade someone decent to come to us now. Pray hard.

Re: The Club Is Right For Once
I thought the Summers interview with Robbo was great. Not sure how that sits with Ralph's article, though. Have we actually said publicly that we won't extend the contract until well into mid season? If that is right, after this supposed board meeting I'd like another letter from the club telling me...

Re: Don't want Jolly
Do people dislike him because of on-field sledging or the Age columns he has written over the years? Or is it something else? If it's his penmanship, by my recollection he hated Neale Daniher's coaching style and had a crack at Josh Fraser. If he joins the Saints I'll go back and read them again (I'...

Re: Email from Chris Pelchen to Members
[quote="Cairnsman" The interesting point I take out of Chris's letter is that he states that his plan was delivered in June 2013 which raises some questions. If Chris has been in his current position since 2011 what plan was in place prior to 2013. Clearly there has been a plan in place be...
