Re: Who agrees with this?

Typical journo - starts off with a strong statement, then intellectualizes and has an each-way bet.

As Sir Les Patterson observed: Journo - a drunk, a failed novelist.

Re: Bruce...... the topic of headlines

OK, I'm wrong about Queanbeyan. As a reward, I will let it go this time, more to quell sniping on this forum. Anyway, so as not offend the separatists: I hope that Sydney don't eventually try to lure him back out of footy-mad Victoria and considerably closer to his hometown in a few years. It was m...

Re: Bruce...... the topic of headlines

NSW, ACT, whatever. Do you just post for the sake of it. If so you should give it a rest for awhile as a lot of your posts reveal you haven't a clue. About geography, footy or history. That is completely untrue, unnecessary and attacking the man, whilst adding absolutely nothing to this forum. True...

Sorry to hear that The Goose is cooked. He was shaping up as an A grader for us. Then was just a shadow of his former self after that horrendous injury. Pretty sure I read that his grandfather played for us? Goodluck Matt. Goose was an A grader before he got injured. Absolute gun. As good as Gilbo ...

Re: The race for Rice

Dean Rice was an exciting player to watch, as he stormed down the field. Very dangerous in front of goal too. Was very sad when he left for that lot. In the early days, when he was on the other side of the oval, I used to get him confused with "Scratcher Neal" - it was a long way away, tho...

Interesting point, Con and you are almost certainly right about both Chips and Roo. When they can fix what we see now as serious knee injuries, there will be good times!

Yes, good idea - also their colours are very similar to ours. Funny day in Hampshire - warm and sunny one minute, then chilly and rainy the next. A bit like living in Melbourne.

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion

IMHO, I think we should trade Armo and Joey. My feeling is that one of the top 4 sides would take him, possibly Freo or even Hawthorn. What pick they would give us I have no idea. With Armo I reckon a lot of sides would be interested. I believe he is originally from Queensland so he would be a perf...

Re: Terry

Sometimes he tries to finesse it a bit too much, instead of doing the first option. However he is a creative player which provides an X factor for our side. Only round 2 so he is building, pretty soon he will give someone a Terry Towelling. Magnificent work, Busso Mick! Agree with your comment too....

Re: Who is the Saint's barometer?

Just saw this clip on the AFL site with Garry Lyon nominating each team's barometer, meaning when he plays well, the team generally wins. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-03-18/lewis-is-hawks-barometer-lyon He nominated Milney for the Saints and you can't dispute that when Milney plays well, and tha...
