Dinner's gone on for ages, hopefully Robbo's band has performed by the time the stream kicks in again. Good footballer...and thats about it.

Re: I was wrong
bit harsh on crippa, he was good this season. Maybe not breakout, but he's giving every indication that next year he will be a regular. Another pre season and he'll be set, has baulked up a fair bit after undergoing surgery last year

Re: Puss in boots - the Scarlett pimple
I don't doubt that he used to be a really good footballer, but he is easily my most hated footballer.
I'm clearly bitter about everything Geelong these days, but Matty Scarlett is a terrible bloke regardless
of what you think about his footy club.

Re: If seeing the Dockers win hurt
I was happy to see Geelong lose, Freo and Ross for that matter are nothing but competitors. Sure Rossy left us in questionable circumstances but that's life. Freo have won less in the AFL than even we have. Someone's got to win finals games...we had our chances this year but couldn't convert. If it'...

Re: look what GEM! I have found
Leave the sympathy support for the Doggies, we don't need it! Seriously who cares if we were more interested in the races than the footy in the dark ages (a period of time I like to think the club didn't exist in...includes the 80's), we're a serious footy side these days. Would much rather be respe...

I reckon "Saint for Life" or "Saints for Life" has merit actually...evoke passion, obviously it looks a little silly (or like a cheap shot) if Goddard leaves!

Re: Josh Caddy
the reason they would come cheap is because Cook has shown nothing to suggest he will be able to cut the mustard at afl level. For a slight bloke he doesn't seem to move with any hustle. Gysberts I am a fan of, would love to get him...probably would rate him around the same level as caddy. while Cad...

He's only 192 so doesn't quite fit the Guerilla suppressor mould, but could be a valuable pick-up. lol, I'm not a stickler for spelling but that one made me laugh - haven't seen that istake before Hope you are taking the piss. haha sorry had guerilla fighter pun intended but then changed it to supp...

Re: Jordan Gysberts
A mate of mine who always seems to be on top of these sort of things reckons he's going to get the chop. Apparently doesn't have the work ethic and Mark Neeld is a bit like rossy on those sort of things. Maybe a change of scene is what he needs to kick himself into gear. I really like what I've seen...

surely if we were "tanking" we would have played roo, fisher and schnides plus anyone else who was sore or injured, no way we would be able to win with very few fit players on the park!

Re: Daniel Archer - yes or no
In terms of forwards I know we have a few blokes who arent quite big enough to hold down a kpf place but I'd be stoked if Jake Stringer (Darling/pav mould) slipped down to our first pick. He had a bad leg break at the start of last year, but is immensely talented and I reckon would be talked about i...

Just read on the AFL website that at $250 a pop we have 1267 members who took up the chance to purchase a jumper. Thats $316,750 which is not half bad I dont think!

Re: VFL RD 21 Sandy vs Willi Saturday 18th - Teams
Marigliani is about 5 kgs lighter than he was this time last year due to repeated knee injuries and complications with staff infections. Probably a more afl capable body shape these days than he had in the past (played 2 games for essendon in 2010)

Re: Clint Jones
matt de boer over at freo is actually pretty close to jones in that he's a bull who racks up the pill, but like cj has skills closer to u12's standard than the afl. So Ross already has a jones type, and will probably get him to play in a role that will cover his weaknesses. For all of ross' shortcom...

I must admit I've never been his biggest fan, but I did really like his game yesterday. Like others I have noticed that he (in almost the same way gram sometimes annoys me) chooses not to get to a contest when he isn't in the best position to win the ball. Both he and gram it seemed were making a co...

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
As much as Jack is an integral part of the midfield group I would advocate the 1 change for this week In-BJ Out-Wilkes Whilst Jack is usually a walk-up start in the 22, coming off consecutive wins and a strong performance on debut from Dunnell I don't think it would be the worst idea to let Jack wor...

Re: R12 Game thread v Adelaide
lost opportunity no doubt, but if there's 1 thing you can say about this group they've certainly got heart. Hayes was enormous those last 5 minutes, and kicking a bit straighter we would have pinched that one. Confusing mix of emotions right now, hugely disappointed yet fiercely proud of the way the...

Re: Player academy at work?
I hope we seriously look into rookie listing Coleman at the end of this year, focusing on footy over Cricket full time and playing against men seems to have really fast tracked his development. He's right under our noses so wouldn't be surprised to see us pick him up, looks a potential gun and addre...
