Re: The 10am news bulletin on SEN today (Monday)

They reported that one of Chris Scott's ideas was that he would have to have at least 4 players in the side every week with fewer than 50 games. What a masterstroke this was. If only Lyon had employed this over the last few years. You would expect that Walsh and Stanley would be ready to go with a ...

Their four youngsters in the Grand Final included Podsiadally 27 and West 23. Christensen and Duncan were the only players under 23. Our team against Sydney was younger and less experienced. True, but they also would certainly have had Menzel in there as well, had he not done his knee a couple of w...

Growing up as a kid I had to put up with all my friends laughing at me because I barracked for St Kilda. The main offenders were Blues, Tigers, Haw...

Once 2 more teams are introduced for a total of 20, then we can have a 20 round season. Play every team once plus have a rivalry round. Then the next season the teams you played at home you then play away. Simple yet Perfect, (and fair). How do you pick the rivalry?........ I can think of 3 for us ...

Re: Gary Ayres in the news?

A plea for information here. Did anyone hear Ayres mentioned on SEN this evening? The Lioness tells me that she heard SEN discussing the coaching position and that the strong word was Ayres as frontrunner; almost a done deal. While she's not generally given to hallucinations, I'd appreciate hearing...

No, as they need to qualify for a GF! Terry Wallace stated recently, and so did Lethal Matthews that our list is not as bad as many would have us believe. One or two positions may need looking at but I still think we have a reasonable shot at glory next year No offense Jigging but you have no idea ...

In amongst the Goddard to Carlton and Malthouse on Wednesday posts it's hard to keep track of the rumours that have any substance to them.
I know for sure that Gary Ayres will be our coach.

What is your problem SaintPav? There is nothing wrong with my post. It's just an opinion that I am sure a lot of St kilda supporters agree with. If you don't agree with this opinion thats fine.

No way would I accept pick 18 and a few crappy players for Goddard. If we are to trade Goddard we want at least 1 top 5 pick and 1 top 10 pick. Macca posted the following.... Macca 3 October 2011 1:57PM The blues first pick is 18, so would that plus Mclean, O'hailpin and Russell get the deal ...

I think the lesson is don't be too quick to write players off. I think 24 to 25 is about the age when its safe to write someone off as making is a really good player. So leave rhys alone. Rhys and tommy walsh are our great white hopes at this stage. Yes exactly!!!! That's what I think too. Good luc...

Re: Predict the year of our 2nd Premiership Thread

2016 - what an appropriate year. Celebrating the 1966 50th jubilee and a prermiership as the icing on the cake. Oh, it'll be worth that wait :) If we start a proper rebuild, and by that I mean trade Dal and BJ for 4 top 10 draft picks and also de-list anyone over 25 years old and keep away from the...

I would hope you don't really hope this. As much as everything that has happened sucks, to wish injury upon a player is disgusting.
You're right, I hope he gets ko'd and has a ____ke.
