Was nothing wrong with the start time - gave us a full day to do other things in wellington. Lots of great walking tracks around town and good hiking trails a very short drive away.
And the game did not finish very late at all - do Kiwis have a curfew?

Re: It needs to be explained to me?
if a player is seen to dive forward for a free then award a free kick and a 50 m penalty to the opposition - would soon stamp out the practice. Everybody knows who the main offenders are so would not be hard to adjudicate.

Article about Jimmy's brother here: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-06-01/tough-tasmanians-growing-stature After reading this and other articles, it would suggest to me that we already have the best of the Websters !! Jimmy says that his little brother is better than he is so will be interesting to...

Re: Adam Goodes should promote the King Kong musical
We do not understand the anger, the shame, the frustration, the bitterness and sorrow of what was taken from indigenous Australians. We can't even be honest enough to call it "slavery": like black folks just loved the idea of working on cattle stations seven days a week so they could get ...

Re: Griffen vs Jones
Agreed. The effort is unquestionable but the skills are lamentable and the decision making ... well, when he gave away that 50 metre penalty for failing to give the ball back to Griffen, um, not good. he put the ball right into griffens hands. Not his fault that that the sook did not close them to ...

Re: 2013 SPONSORSHIP GROUP
Some of you regulars must have a few spare dollars or do you think it is fair MM pays about $1200 for a player and still lets us win the prizes. Seriously that is unfair. Come on some out there have doctors in the family or other reasonably high paying jobs. Surely you can spend at least $20. I hav...

No reason that I did not mention Milera. Terry was actually quite talkative. Said that he has settled down well in melbourne as his wife has relatives over here. We will wait and see what happens at the end of the year though when his contract is up for renewal. Very happy to eventually get picked u...

Really enjoyed the night, and thanks to Mr Magic and SS for the opportunity to go through the sponsorship. I too, really enjoyed the footage and interviews with the players before my generation. Sandy Roberts hosted, Greg Westaway opened the night, and Nettles introduced the life members. Lenny, Ro...

fantastic night. Reminded me that supporting the saints was not all bad in the late seventies and eighties. No matter how many games we lost we still got to watch the great man trevor barker play.

Re: To early for umpire bashing?
After the in the back call against Kosi for the fingernail that touched Reid, Murdoch lets the ball go, Jones makes no effort to tackle and Riewoldt makes a half hearted attempt, then the umpire calls advantage and the filth player has an easy running shot from 40m I HATE the advantage rule. It's a...

Re: Umpires are cheats
No there is no pressure at all knowing 50% of the crowd will think the decision you made is wrong and there is no pressure trying to see through the 25 players around the ball. Yep its a simple game to umpire and thats why we even as Saints supporters see the same decision to separate ways. I would ...

Look out for Jimmy Websters brother Zac Webster in this years draft. He's suppose to be one of the most talented Taswegians available. That must be the little brother jimmy was telling me about. Did not think he was old enough for the draft this year though as I thought he was only 15 last year. Bu...

Re: Jimmy Webster debut?
Had shin splints when drafted last year and took a long time to get them right. Must be close to being named in the senior side as he has consistently been playing well for sandringham. Would love to see him make his debut but not sure that a game against the big bodies of essendon is the best time.

would like to see jimmy webster have a standout game as some on here seem to have already written him off. Interesting that someone very closely involved with the club told me that spencer white and jimmy are going to be absolute superstars.
